Sheesh…like I said “more and more bizarre”.

https://www.fox5vegas.com/news/police-detail-cultish-beliefs-of-mom-charged-in-kids-deaths/article_e88e54b0-1040-5ab0-8693-1776f26443eb.html

These tidbits were already known to the public, but in case someone here hasn’t been following the case that closely, another bit or two of bizarre:

Just got done reading the novel he texted her about their love, which was pretty sickening to say the least. And now it's public and his children have to see it.

The blessings he kept giving her and even during their little escapades is sick. And he's no writer, unless he never matured older than 6th grade.

I don't understand what Lori found attractive in him. She had better looking husbands before Chud. Chud is a doofus.

Hopefully they will wake up now to reality. I hope when (if?) it happens they won’t hold grudges and instead reconnect with extended family so they get support and love in a family context, something that probably was a big part of their life before (Tammy sounds like she was close to her family and they were living in Springville near her parents for most of the kids’ youth).

He apparently gave Alex a patriarchal blessing too (it is online if anyone wants to read it), he really took advantage of the LDS context to promote himself.  I suspect he imagined much greater things for himself than Executive Secretary.  I wonder if he thought moving to Idaho would give him a chance to get recognition as a church leader as well as recognition among the prepper group he was promoting/running.

When reality didn’t match his dreams, he twisted reality instead of finding happiness in the gifts he already had (a wonderful wife and loving family).

I suspect he avoided conflict with her, just came up with revelations to meet her needs without having to do much himself.  She wanted unquestioning worshippers and exalted heights for herself rather than just being someone who was successful’s wife and he filled that need even if only through illusion while she filled his desire for glamour, superficial as it was.

Reading the screenshots in the timeline, looks like LVD was in Hawaii when Tammy died.  Seems like SOP for her. Even though she was present when Charles was killed, I think it likely she had planned with her brother, Alex, a couple of attempts on Charles that fell through where she had a solid alibi of being in a very different place.  I think she was only present at the murder of Charles because there was no more time to wait given Charles had contacted Tammy about the affair (it is unknown though if Tammy read the email or deleted it without reading it) and had planned an intervention that day with her other brother, Adam and probably knew that Charles was planning on flying up to meet Tammy…which would have put CD in a panic, imo.  LVD would have known about the prior filing for divorce and might have assumed if she didn’t recant her beliefs and behaviors, that Charles would then go through with the divorce now he had knew she was cheating on him.

added:  looks like LVD’s mom, Janis Cox iirc, was likely responsible for Charles dropping the divorce and giving LVD another chance as well as supporting her and others (he had apparently shut down the numerous cell phones he was paying for, after talking to Janis he turned them back on and put them in LVD’s name).  She was apparently convinced he was going to hookers, but since she had a good relationship with him and he had been good to her, she told LVD she wasn’t going to judge him as bad.

I shouldn't really bring up good looks, because personality makes someone attractive to me. Charles would have been the best life for sure, judging from his actions and concern he had for Lori.

Chud (I like the name someone gave him on websleuths), is shallow. I feel for Tammy having to put up with his nonsense and self aggrandizing.

And by far Tammy was cuter than Lori, because of her personality, and seems like she'd be the funner and more interesting partner, certainly better well read. Chud really fell for his fire loins (his words or his loins are on fire) on this one. Too bad he gave into his silly passions when all along he had the better human which was by far more superior than him, and he probably thought he was God to her.

Sometimes members in the church go wacky, with some of our beliefs.

That makes me so happy. Jury duty here I come!

Why did I think you lived in California?

Just curious…Could you say you could give an impartial viewing of evidence, etc.?  (Don’t have to say if you don’t want to).  I am thinking while I think if there was some evidence for doubt, I could be fair and recognize it, I would have to admit that my familiarity with the case puts me strongly in the view of both being guilty, especially with the latest releases filling in gaps.  It would take a lot to make me believe they were innocent and unless they exclude a lot of the info published so far, it is pretty much beyond a reasonable doubt for me at this point, so thinking ‘probably guilty but the case isn’t prove ‘ isn’t likely to happen.

Plus my legs and Meniere’s would never allow me to sit that long anyway, lol.  Jury Duty is likely something I will never experience.  I am slightly disappointed asI really rather not have that power over someone’s life. Did get called up for it once back in the days where I allowed anxiety to overcome sense way too much and I just ignored it, justifying that idiocy by not being able to serve and knowing doctors would be backing that.  Nothing happened…..in no way is that meant to be encouragement for ignoring jury duty calls.

I grew up in the Bay Area. I probably still have my California vibe. 🤷‍♀️

I would be willing to listen to all of the evidence with an open mind. But I’m not sure I would come to any different conclusion. I did serve on a jury 10 or so years ago and I have to say I felt like some of the other jurors were either apathetic or bullyish. Not particularly a good experience.

I have posted about this before, but this may make it easier to get you more details and it is crucial Imo in establishing likelihood that CD killed Tammy.

Just finished the youtube of the interview with Jason Mow, it was such a short interview, terrible IMO. They should have delved more! Then I found this podcast with Jason, Lori and Melanie Gibb. https://vocaroo.com/9YtHnWtvRwf In fact I read that Jason Mow sealed Chad and Lori either in the temple or somewhere else privately.  He was very close with the three of them yet the officers barely interviewed him, it was maybe 25 minutes long.

These people are such crazies. I believe there are more in this group that are still out there that are literally zombies. Or act like them.

I wonder if there will ever even be a trial for her. According to her brother Adam, she just refuses to talk. Not because she’s mentally ill and unable to cooperate but because she just simply REFUSES to cooperate. It could go on indefinitely. We’ll see how stubborn she can be.

Weird source for a story about murder, but I think someone was curious about this earlier…

https://www.realtor.com/news/celebrity-real-estate/daybell-idaho-home-new-owner/

Quote

The ownership and future of Daybell’s sprawling property are just the latest twists in an already convoluted story.

Daybell transferred ownership of the home where the children were discovered to his attorney John J. Prior on May 12 through a quitclaim deed, according to property records. This could have been to pay for his legal services (which can top $100,000 in high-profile, criminal cases), protect the home from creditors, or for some other unknown reason.

A quitclaim deed means the property changes ownership. The new owner is then responsible for the taxes; the mortgage, if there is one; as well as any debts attached to the property in the form of liens.

Clients do transfer real estate to lawyers, often to pay their retainers if they don’t have the cash on hand. But it’s extremely unusual and typically frowned upon despite being legal in most circumstances in the state of Idaho, say attorneys.

“No reputable lawyer would take a case with a quitclaim house,” says criminal defense attorney Jeromy Stafford, who is based in Idaho Falls, ID. “It’s what low-level, shady lawyers do.”

He’s heard of attorneys taking their clients’ cars, guns, and guitars in lieu of cash—but never a house.

Quote

There aren’t as many buyers for these infamous properties, and those who show interest typically want “deep discounts,” says Bell. He expects the Daybell house would sell for 10% to 25% less than market value as a result.

The home was sold in 2015. It’s currently valued at more than $331,000, according to Realtor.com® estimates.

Even with the discount, it may not be worth it, says Bell. A home like that will attract crime tourists and potentially even satanic worshippers from all over the world, cautions Bell who has witnessed this firsthand.

“Somebody buying that house is going to go through years of annoyance and harassment,” he says. “There’s people coming onto the property, knocking on the door, and it just becomes a major nuisance. [Strangers] want to see where the bodies were

Sounds to me like the best idea is to sell to the city which then bulldozes the house and turns the property into a memorial park or something else easily supervised.  I would be covering the area with CCTV and motion sensor lights myself to warn people off.  I think the change of venue is best for his kids…while some at the trial still will drive the 4 hours to see it, there won’t be daily pilgrimages and such I am guessing.

I wonder if allowing his kids to stay in the house is a pressure/gratitude tactic by Prior to keep them loyal to CD or if just mutually beneficial as who is he going to sell it to at this time as is (can it be altered substantially before the trial as it is a crime scene)?  My guess is they are the only relatively normal ones who would want to stay there for now.  The backyard is probably hard to be in, but the house is where the happy memories with Mom and Dad are from what has been described, at least five years or so of them…

padded:  the date of selling the property to Prior is wrong, it was the day after the kids were found, 10 June 2020.  I don’t believe Prior became his attorney before his arrest when the bodies were found.

I’m always amazed at how many different personalities can come out of one family. He sounds like the only rational Cox.

Back when he was first heard of, some were making a big deal about him being involved in a stupid contest that led to a woman’s death, but apparently not his idea though he could have been more active in stopping it once they were warned by a couple of callers it was dangerous.  He describes it as a tragedy for the woman and her family first, so he sounds sensible and balanced.

The only weird thing about him imo is he wrote a bio at such a young age.

CD may have been the one who found the funeral home to cremate Charles.  Weird conversation with fake names…Chad Dabal and his uncle, John Dabal.

Also a text conversation follows that in the FB photos between CD and LVD right after she found out she was not the beneficiary. He seems convinced they will be able to get the money somehow at first, that LVD had to give permission or it was forged.  Rather stupid when he knew Charles knew about the affair.

This is the first I heard he lay down dying for 43 minutes. I guess I missed that information. How devastating to die a lone like that. And the pain too. With no one getting him help, it's the sickest thing among the already sick things about these inhumane sickos. I've been listening to the podcast on MS, or the unmentionable one, and in it they talked about the couples that were part of the AVOW group getting a bit kinky with foot zones etc. It's like they were thinking it was all okay because of the polygamy that JS started or something.

I don’t remember reading that, I believe Alex didn’t call 911 for that long and they might have told him to give him cpr because he said it just happened, but Charles was already dead…at leastthat was my impression…I will have to go see if new info I have missed on that.

It sounds like the bullets struck a lung and his heart.  There is no way he would have survived for 43 minutes with those types of wounds and bleeding out.  Also, take comfort in knowing that he probably died pain free thanks to the miraculous human physiology which masks pain in times of stress.  Gunshot victims frequently don't even realize that they have even been shot, and just feel like something hit them.  The same is true in car accidents and severe trauma, victims don't usually feel pain initially.  The pain only kicks in once the adrenaline wears off.

I am listening to the phone interview with Adam Cox…a couple of things so far stand out.  Alex had told him he took off a week and usually when Alex did that he took off for Columbia to “be with women”.  I had read that before, but not seen a source.  Adam was thinking something must be in the works because Alex had chosen just to hang out at home.  Alex was also ignoring texts and calls from Adam even though they had arranged that Adam would stay with Alex when he flew in to visit (Charles had paid for his trip, but they kept that between them). Charles texted Adam that Alex was at LVD’s when he went to pick up JJ.

So Charles was killed on the very day that the intervention was planned and Alex ignored Adam so Adam wouldn’t be hanging around him.  It comes across as more and more premeditated and not just something LVD came up with the night before when she made plans with Charles to pick up JJ the next morning.

Added:  It is a SoundCloud thing and it is saying to resume listening I have to sign up…and I don’t want to.  I may not add more.

Found a different source.

LV (no D as not a Daybell then) did not turn Charles’ phone over until a couple of hours after the shooting when they asked her about it. During that time it appears she shared all Charles and Adam’s texts to each other with her parents.

Adam said no way would Charles leave his phone on the counter.

Adam says the story of the killing makes no sense to him knowing the people involved.

But no one outside my husband and kids has ever seen  me scream or even raise my voice in anger as an adult (and them rarely), except I got set off one time with my sister that went on and on.  I think I was in shock, I felt like if I could just scream loud enough she would have to listen even though I knew it wouldn’t work.  Never had another like it before or after, so that part is plausible to me as something that could happen even if not his character.

Also forgetting the phone if there was screaming and that was unusual, that would make sense to me, but LV made it sound like Charles yelling was not unusual.

What didn’t make sense to Adam was why would Alex sleep over to have a fun day with LV and Tylee that day. He was close by and could easily drive. Alex’s explanation is an obvious lie to Adam. [ LV told police she asked Alex to sleep over because she was scared of Charles.]

Adam goes on to tell how Alex and LV planned to kill Joe Ryan, Tylee’s dad when LV lost full custody.  LV claimed Joe had molested Tylee [LV coached Tylee to say things] and Alex was going to save Tylee by killing Joe. Alex was to tase him, throw him in the back of the car and drive out somewhere to shoot and bury him. He only got as far as the tase as Joe fought back or something. [Alex went to jail for 6 months for that and tried to hire a hit man while in prison]

Adam was suspicious about Joe’s death because it came at a time when LV really needed money. [His death was ruled natural, but iirc his body hadn’t been found until two weeks and was in bad shape, was also cremated but LV didn’t claim it, just the money iirc]

Alex was previously excommunicated, LV told him he can be saved no matter what he did, he just needed a body.

Charles paid for phones and cars for LV’s family. Adam is bewildered at how they treated him. Their mom even went along with the cover story of Adam flying out as a gift from his wife (travel points) to the point of telling the wife they were grateful she had sent him for the visit even though she knew Charles had paid his way.  The parents never said anything about Charles dying, Adam found out when a friend he was with googled Charles’ name when Adam was worried when he didn’t hear from Charles. Adam thought his mom knew something. [ Her comment that LV was living in the only reality she could cope with makes it sound like she thought LV was crazy, but just went along with it. ]

JJ in the car makes no sense as well as taking him to school.

Posted

Just watched this youtube of a subpoena being taken to Melani and Ian. I hadn't really concentrated on her being super involved. But you'd think if she wasn't she'd do all she could to prosecute the killers of Tylee and JJ. In the video she's trying to make up excuses to not do what they wanted. Like her "kiddos" needing to go to school. Like how old are they?? Not the age to worry about being a few minutes late.
