So far President Nelson has made some major changes:

All but got rid of High Priests

Changed HT and VT programs to Ministering

Asked us to stop using the name "Mormon"

Changed from a 3 hour block to a 2 hour block

So, what are your predictions for what other changes will happen between now and the next Conference?

The next logical thing is to end prosylitizing missions--after 2019, all missions will be service missions.

the Lord has just finished laying the foundation of the Restoration; now it's time to build the actual temple.

What do you think that will look like?

Members will be commanded to cancel their memberships in any online religious discussion boards because the Church will create an official discussion board for members and selected non-members. The board will be called TheBoard@TempleSquare and will be moderated by Daniel Peterson and Scott Lloyd.

I think you do not understand the preparation needed to pull these off.

Allocating resources, finding sites, architectural approvals, permits, persuading city councils, it's just a little more than starting to build a house by digging a foundation.

I understand it quite well... I work in commercial real estate and development.  It wasn’t a criticism of the length of time it takes to build a temple.

If, each year, we announce far more temples than we dedicate, than at some point the backlog becomes so long that the announcements start to lose their significance.

The Urdaneta Phillipines temple was announced  8 years ago and they have not yet scheduled a groundbreaking.

Then again, LA and SLC temples still eclipse that timeline.  So there’s that.

We dedicated four new temples in 2017.  I assume that number is ramping up.  Anyone know where we are for 2018?

I see nothing logical about that

First get rid of home treaching. Then cut the time you spend in church. This fits that pattern.

Prosylitizing missions are generally a huge waste of time and money and on most hours of most days aren't very good experiences for most missionaries. If they make missions service missions, it will improve the reputation of the Church phenomienally, and will give missionaries a better experience. And sinse they will be networking in a more estimable way, it will probably have the side effect of actually increasing convert baptisms. Moving in this direction totally fits with how the church is trying to paint itself.

For example:

The Nehor is banned two hours after the board is established.

'For Zion must increase in beauty, and in holiness; her borders must be enlarged; her stakes must be strengthened; yea, verily I say unto you, Zion must arise and put on her beautiful garments'.

'And, now, behold, if Zion do these things she shall prosper, and spread herself and become very glorious, very great, and very terrible'.

Beauty. What do you think that means? I don't just mean you @Hamba Tuhan. What does everyone think the Lord means by beauty?

When we humbly, faithfully seek to do as instructed, the gospel works perfectly. It creates a community that is strong enough to carry everyone, welcoming enough to accept everyone, and transformative enough to change everyone. We have access to power: priesthood, revelation, prophecy, visions, angels, etc. -- all for the blessing and edifying of others. Whenever we gather in meetings, we leave having been built up, instructed, and inspired. Enthusiasm is so contagious that it's hard not to want to join the cause. Our worship services are so filled with the Spirit that people driving past feel compelled to stop and check out what they felt. There are no manner of -ites.

I've experienced all of the above, though usually not in concert. Now put it all together. It's beautiful!

The scriptures have a different view:

And now, behold, I say unto you, that the thing which will be of the most worth unto you will be to declare repentance unto this people, that you may bring souls unto me, that you may rest with them in the kingdom of my Father.  (D&C 15:6)

And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!  (D&C 18:15)

Behold, I sent you out to testify and warn the people, and it becometh every man who hath been warned to warn his neighbor.  (D&C 88:81)

The scriptures say many things...

Make Zion Great Again! I like the terrible part. What will that be like?

Putting on weight, getting new clothes and makeup? Not so much. Just kidding. How will this un-Utah-Western-Americanize the Church.  :)

I'm a little concerned with what my dad calls the "Twitter Mormons' " hysteria about expecting each Conference to have bigger and more surprising changes, outdoing the last Conference each time. Not only is this unrealistic, but I think that this particular group ("Twitter Mormons") tends to let their let-downs and disappointments when their hopes and expectations aren't realized turn into criticism or unrest.

Granted, it is exciting and refreshing to have sweeping changes in these first two under President Nelson. I just don't want to see people getting frustrated or angry when we have "normal" no-changes Conferences. It would be too bad if too many people feel like it was a "dud" conference if there weren't sweeping changes.

The OP is in a spirit of just for fun (and it is), but there is an underlying feeling under the surface that feeds into this phenomenon. I think it manifests itself in things like the whooping and hollering during temple announcements. Like this is a Twittergrambook thing with likes/dislikes and a need to preen for the audience.

With respect, I think church leaders are fanning the flames of that phenomena with their revelation snowstorm rhetoric. IIRC Pres. Nelson recently made some kind of statement to the effect that the amount of revelation today is "unprecedented". I'm not sure how a statement like that could be taken seriously, but whatever. Leaders are ratcheting up the expectations. IMO it is their own problem when they don't live up to those expectations.

Are the brethren "twitter Mormons" or rather "Twitter members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"? ;)  Or are they just trying to capitalize on Twitterers by attempting to maximize excitement for conference?

It's true.  The hype for this conference came from the Brethren themselves.

In the end, I'm curious what new revelation we might identify from this conference?  (Not that new revelation is required, but it certainly had been alluded to.)

The block change and home study plan seems to have been in the works for a long time, likely started before Pres. Monson's passing.  And the renewed emphasis on the name of the Church was announced before conference.  And, it was something that Pres. Nelson had taught decades earlier.
