Viva la resistance! Are you referring to the time when the gay rights pressure groups got mad at the Chik-fil-A owner and tried to mount a boycott against the restaurant chain? The backlash was such that on the day of the planned boycott, Chik-fil-A around the country did a historically high volume of business, with customer lines going out the door and down the street at many locations. What a great day that was! Such poetic justice! 1

If you don't believe how we do, we are going to put you out of business!!! Dang those evil and hateful Christians! It seems folks don't like being told how to think and what to do. 1

To the OP-I sincerely can't think of very many people who post here who i wouldn't want to meet. One of the reasons that I want to go to FAIR conference some day is partly so i can meet some of the posters in person. I have always wanted to go to a FAIR Conference. I used to go to Utah every other year when my son lived there. Now it is hard to get around. I would love to meat most of the active posters, but living on the East Coast makes it difficult. I have met a few however. But, I would love to visit Utah at least once more...Bucket List, ya know. 1

Smith ( I can't imagine you're that sober in real life) ................................................................................. Sorry to disappoint, Johnnie, but I have never gotten high on anything -- except the Holy Spirit and the High Sierras.. I have actually met several on your list (thanks for including me) and some board members not on your list -- have had lunch with some. I'd like to meet Abulafia, except that she lives in England. One way to meet several of these folks would be to attend the annual FairMormon Conference, and everyone could have lunch together or dinner later. The next Conference is in downtown Provo, Aug 3-4, at the Utah Valley Convention Center. http://www.fairmormon.org/fair-conferences/2017-fairmormon-conference . 1

It's true that Hitler detested socialism (particularly the Social Democratic party), but in terms of behavior, he was comparable to Communists in terms of tyranny, oppression and human rights violations they inflicted. Hitler preferred National Sozialism (NAZI), and the Communists did not ever practice communism -- they were state capitalists (according to Milovan Djilas). However, the USSR was the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Hard to determine just what they really were. What we do know is that both Hitler and Stalin foresaw a wonderful millennium in the future: The Thousand-Year Reich of Herr Hitler, and the automatic harmony of communism at the end time for Lenin & Stalin.

Postum remains a part of my fond childhood memories. Not Pero. I've never had any further desire for it, not even during the period when I couldn't get Postum after Kraft killed the product. When my dad joined the Church, he quit tobacco, booze, and coffee cold turkey. Of the three, he said coffee was the hardest to leave. Were it not for Postum and Pero (his favorite) he might not have made it. If anyone here were to come to Seattle, I would give you the grand tour including Mt Rainier and take you out for a huge steaming bowl of pho at Vien Dong. Edited February 1, 2017 by Bernard Gui 4
