She's still on XP and probably has a rather old version of Internet Explorer. Could that be why? Yes tell her to download chrome or Firefox.

I have stopped using Internet Explorer on Windows 7 entirely -- it is getting buggier than ever. Chrome is great, but Firefox gives me trouble. My Windows 10 laptop (new Windows 10, not upgraded) works quite well, and this site looks fine in Edge. "Edge" is Microsoft's new browser -- although it looks just like Internet Explorer. The trouble with Chrome on Windows XP is that you might not be able to run the latest version of Chrome. I was having trouble on XP with Chrome back before we upgraded to Win 7 at work. Maybe we need to crowd-fund a new PC for Garden Girl! 3

MorningStar Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 That would be so cool, Stargazer! She is actually hoping to get some kind of tablet or laptop in the next month. I talked to her on the phone yesterday and was trying to help her figure out her computer issues, but I would love for her to have a new computer. She is such a sweet lady! 1

I feel like a lot of us here feel like part of a family, and in times of need we could try to help. After meeting with GG in person, I now know the real person, and she's just as wonderful. If she's in agreement, I think we need to make sure she's able to continue to communicate with us!! So a Go Fund Me is a great idea. Or something else too. 1
Stargazer Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) I don't know if these are bugs or features that haven't been turned back on (and I'm repeating myself): No way to embed YouTube videos -- sure you can put the link there, but it doesn't display and won't play in the forum. No way to exit WYSIWYG mode to reach the underlying BBcode -- however, I notice that one can insert certain BBcodes and have them taken as formatting. When using full editor, no Preview mode to see what it will look like before posting Edited December 6, 2015 by Stargazer
strappinglad Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Why am I required to give a reason for editing?

MorningStar Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 GG is so grateful for our desire to help her get a computer, but she says she has the means to buy one. She just needs to take her time to find the best option for her. 3
Stone holm Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Great job of fixing what wasn't broken, and making a good easy to use site difficult
JAHS Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Will there be a way to preview reply posts before we post them? There was a way in the old site.

And besides that I am really glad I can see/use rep points on mobile now. It was a pain to switchover and go to the full Web page to give a point for something well said. 1
