Pdf Book Of Mormon Dna, Artifacts, Linguistic, Cultural, Evidence

I converted the word document to a pdf. This will be much easier to read. Pictures of the artifacts are also included.

As far as Hopewell artifacts. Modern archeologist confirmed the Hopewell Indians had copper and iron  breastplates and head plates, tools, jewelry mentioned by accounts of early settlers. The have also confirmed the Hopewell Indians had woven artifacts. I have posted pictures of these items in the pdf file. Since early accounts of copper and iron breastplates and tools have been confirmed I have no reason not to believe the many account settlers finding swords in Hopewell graves next to skeletons and mounds. In fact Cyrus Thomas who worked for the Smithsonian Institute found a sword he found in a Hopewell mound.

All the artifacts, linguistic, cultural, and geographical evidence found in North America is undeniable. In the next couple years all those who continue to support the Central America model will become irrelevant.

The 19th, 18th, 17th, 16th century books about Native American culture and beliefs are used by all of academia. Todays historian and anthropologist use and continue to use these sources to write about the history of the Native American people.

Of course, there's the decades of the canonized Book of Mormon containing a comment about the Lehite landing in Chile.  I don't think that would have been there if the Brethren really believed that North America and only North America was the locale for Book of Mormon events.  The dissonance would have been too jarring.  There are also several Times & Seasons articles during Joseph Smith's editorialship about locations in MesoAmerica and South America.

It was a conspiracy?

Unfortunately it did not surprise me at all this is Meldrum's preferred solution to the alleged mistake.

There is nothing that Joseph smith ever wrote with his hand that states that Lehi landed in central and South America.

On the other hand the opposite is true for North America. During Zions camp across the central plains of North America Joseph wrote in his journal while in Ohio and Illinois that they were crossing nephite and lamanite lands. Also D&C 54:8 states that Missouri is the borders of the lamanites. That is a revelation when Joseph Smith sent missionaries to the Lamanites. It was not to South America.

The hill Cumorah and the golden plates where located in North America not south or Central America

Moroni leaves BOM hill Cumorah and wanders for decades. Did he just wander around the area year after year while avoiding the Lamanites or did he "get out of dodge".  He could have traveled thousands of miles during those many years.

Times and Seasons editorials, while he was the editor and even when he wasn't, are smoking good evidence of tacit approval.  It is very strong evidence of adoption of an official position.

In the article cited in an above post, the argument is made:  "This brings us back to the central question: is there solid evidence of authorship? Is there in fact, a smoking gun?  Modern proponents of the Mesoamerican theory have used stylometry—the statistical study of linguistic style, word usage, etc.—to demonstrate that Joseph Smith was the author. Stylometry can find a “smoking gun,” but only if the actual author is among the candidates tested."   These sentences talk about Times and Seasons articles discussing MesoAmerican sites.  (Although, as I have pointed out, there are similar articles about North and South American sites.)

It isn't enough to argue that Joseph Smith really didn't author the Zarahemla Times and Seasons article.  One must also show that he disavowed it, as he was named as editor.

I have scriptures and joseph smith own writings to support my thesis.

And I have the canonized Book of Mormon which for decades said Lehi landed in Chile.

The book of Mormon does not say they landed in chile.

Ether 9:34, Mosiah 18:4, and Alma 22:31 refer to migrating beast and beast that could survive off of for food. The verses also refer to seasons. Central America has no migrating land animals and its seasons are hot and hotter. North America has migrating Buffalo which was dependent upon the season. There was an estimated 60 million buffalo at one time that the American Indians used to sustain themselves. The US government attempted to wipe out the American Indians by killing off the buffalo.

Bom talks tornados as far as I know there has never been a tornado in Meso America America has tornado alley 3 Nephi 8:16, 2 Nephi 26:5

D&C 125:3 places Zarahemla next to Nauvoo.

Alma 49:22, Alma 49:18 Alma 48:8 refer to Nephites and using banks of earth to enclose and fortify their cities. Hopewell Indians used mound of dirt to enclose their cities.

Alma 22:32 refers to the narrow strip of land only taking a day and a half to travel. It takes on average three weeks to traverse the narrowest part of Central America from the Pacific and to the Atlantic. It’s a 50 mile strip of land that includes jungle and a mountain range between the two oceans. Between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario there is an 18 mile strip of land that takes approximately a day and a half to traverse and is about 40 miles away from the Hill Cumorah.

Book of Mormon says that during certain times of the year there were frequent sickness and fevers. America has a season called the flu season known for sickness and fevers.

One of the largest earthquakes to ever hit the USA was along the New Madrid Fault along the Mississippi River in the 1800’s. During this earthquake that lasted many hours the Mississippi River flowed backwards new lakes were made and some lakes went dry. The New Madrid Fault erupts about every 300 years. Which means that it corresponds to the time that Christ would have visited Zarahemla on the North American continent.

In May and June 1834 Joseph Smith led a Mormon group (a paramilitary expedition known as Zion's Camp) on a march from Kirtland, Ohio to Jackson County, Missouri. On June 3, while passing through west-central Illinois near Griggsville, some bones were unearthed from a mound. These bones were identified by Smith as belonging to a Lamanite chieftain-warrior named Zelph. The mound in question is now known as Naples-Russell Mound 8.

"At about one foot deep we discovered the skeleton of a man, almost entire; and between two of his ribs we found an Indian arrow, which had evidently been the cause of his death. Subsequently the visions of the past being opened to my understanding by the Spirit of the Almighty, I discovered that the person whose skeleton was before us was a white Lamanite, a large, thickset man, and a man of God. His name was Zelph. He was a warrior and chieftain under the great prophet Onandagus, who was known from the Hill Cumorah, or eastern sea to the Rocky Mountains.” The Hopewell Indians made highways and had an advanced trade system that extended to the Rocky Mountains.

True. People go out of their way on this board to point out that the chapter headings and footnotes are not part of the cannon.

I'll give you Ether. Mosiah and Alma verses don't even come close to being about migrating beasts.

D&C 125:3 places Zarahemla next to Nauvoo.

3 Let them build up a city unto my name upon the land opposite the city of Nauvoo, and let the name of Zarahemla be named upon it.

Does it? There are dozens of towns and cities named after places in scripture. V3 doesn't even come close to what you've said.

I kind of lost the will to keep reading after that. You seem to have a fixed conclusions which every and any piece of evidence can be crowbarred into.

By the way, I really hope you learn some board etiquette and reduce the number of new threads you create and also show a little more respect for dialogue and discourse. This board needs a more diverse set of voices so I hope you survive. At the risk of sounding like a board nanny I'm just warning you that if you carry on the way you're going you'll either be blocked or limited. I disagree with many of the views of the posters on this board but can hopefully do so without being too disagreeable.
