John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

There are no assumptions when adding whole numbers

1 + 1 + 1 = 3, can you interpret that differently and find a different answer?

Can you challenge that?

Of course.

And now you bring this up on a different thread?  Without referring to my quote?  So I would not find it?

It seems you do not understand the argument at all.  What you have written is no more important than saying that A=A, or that MormonFree Thinker is MormonFree Thinker.  What you MEAN by "MormonFree Thinker" IS MormonFree Thinker.

What you MEAN by 1+1 IS "2".  It is "true by definition" and therefore uninteresting.

Of course it is true, but on its own it is useless.   Your response will be about objects.  But of course you will not define "objects".  Are unknown species "objects"?

Is God an "object"?  Are ideas "objects"?  Are unicorns "objects"?  Are spirits "objects"?  Are mirages "objects"?  Are substances "objects"?  Is Being "objects"?  Are snowstorms "objects"?

All of these require interpretation.  There are no facts, just interpretations.  I will not respond to this anymore.  Please read some contemporary philosophy.  I know you think you know better than philosophers, but I suggest some humility might be in order.

I agree that there are many interpretations, but that is not Math, that is semantics. Again, trying to define something is not Math.

Once you define an object, then you can do the math.

I did catch Mormons thinking the Book of Mormon agrees with the Mormon Jesus :)

Study these links and get back to me on the substantive differences between Catholic and Mormon concepts of the Savior, and more importantly which one's if any would preclude accepting salvation by the Grace of Christ.

Guilty as charged!

We think so, because it is so.

It does if you are capable of understanding the Book of Mormon.  There is nothing in the Book of Mormon that teaches differently about Christ.  You either don't understand what is written or you take it out of context.

Yep, you caught us thinking truth again instead of falsehoods.  How dare we....

This reminds me of a story...

A Cardinal runs into the Pope's Office out of breath.  The Pope says, "slow down my Son, what has you in such a hurry?"

The Cardinal says.  "Father, I have good news and bad news."

The Pope says "give me the good news." so the Cardinal says "Christ has returned to the earth!"

"Wonderful!" The Pope says, and "so what is the bad news?"

The Cardinal replies "He's calling us from Salt Lake City."

Oh boy.

What is your purpose here? It clearly is to not learn from us or our point of view? And the chance that you will convert anyone the way you are going about it is seriously about 0.

He's just trolling.  However,

When someone asks you "what would Jesus do?" remind them that turning over tables and scourging are within the realm of possibilities.

No where in the Book of Mormon does it teach the Mormon Jesus who was the firstborn spirit child of God the Father. In fact it teaches Jesus was fatherless until the flesh

You know what?

I can name a hundred other books where it also doesn't say that.  I mean none of all the works  of Shakespeare say that either.!  Pretty incredible, huh?

OK, so were do we, as Mormons, claim that the BOM is the sole source of our doctrine? I am not sure you understand how completely weak your argument is.

What do you mean "just a son of god?" Is Yahweh just a son of El Elyon, as DSS Deut. 32:8-9 says?

For some better context to take to the Book of Mormon, try this, and watch what happens.
