Duncan Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Couple of questions regarding John The Revelator1) Is there a difference betwen his role and the 3 Nephites role in life history? it seems they are interchangeable, am I wrong?2) I hear more 3 Nephite sightings than I do about John The Revelator, is he on vacation or something? he seems not to be around so much folklore wise. The only JTR sighting I ever heard was from a General Authority, who toured our missionany insights? thank you kindly!

He told us (mission conference) that John the Revelator was instrumental in the opening up of Eastern Europe to missionary work.Joseph Smith taught that John was primarily among the lost ten tribes, althoughI assume that both he and the 3 Nephites (and don't forget the City of Enoch and City of Salem people, who were also translated) can undergo different and updated assignments from God.I don't think their missions entail much tire changing on the side of the road, however . . .

This would make a great religious movie of some kind!Yeah I was disappointed when someone didn't finish the Book of Mormon series of movies. I mean, come on, he should have known he'd encounter a little opposition even before he started. It would have been nice to see a movie about the 3 Nephites, and of many other stories in the Book of Mormon. Hopefully someday soon somebody else will pick that up and run with it.

There's a good three nephites story in there .I was talking about how I'd like to see them as they were when they were just mortal men, like us, before they were translated. With technology and actors these days you'd think we'd be able to make a pretty good film about 3 mortal men who lived good lives and who then, at the end of their lives mortal lives, were translated into angels.One of them would probably be played by Liam Nieson, since he's in just about every movie these days. Then maybe Mark Wahlberg and Ryan Reynolds could play the other 2 parts. They would just need a good director. The script is basically already written. Let's get it rolling! 2
