  1. I believe this is true about this day and age. https://augustana.com/how-do-we-respond-to-christian-nationalism/
  2. My personal one is that they are behind the Project 2025 deal that is the map for whomever will put it in place. And they are more or less a white supremacy group (but not as much as in the past). They believe that all must be Christian in the USA or are possibly going to hell, if not. Which is nice that our religion is more compassionate about our members not going to hell if they don't believe. And they don't have love for all people, they don't believe in the Founding Fathers' words about freedom of religion and they don't support our constitution and are trying to change it. They want to force the individuals in the USA to love their country no matter what and they don't believe in the individual's freedom of thought. They are already having schools put up the Ten Commandments. They are basically killing women because they won't allow abortions no matter what, even if the baby has died in the womb and the mother may die from it. You should read about Debbie Reynolds nearly dying from being denied back in the day. And now we are going backwards to those days again. And women aren't considered equal to men. So many more things, but I'll leave it there for now. Since I like the AI one I posted on the definition of a Christian Nationalist. Here's the video I didn't dare share because it showed my FB profile, but with the help of Calm, I think I'm safe because I only see it, not everyone. Don't want anyone hunting me down. Thanks again @Calm, that was kind of you. Here's the post I like, and Jesus would agree, IMO. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/199ny6JFUc/
  3. You're the best! I'll do that!
  4. I hope this helps, I was trying to share the video with the young man's opinion on here w/o giving my identity away. Hope this works: ETA: Oh, it's still showing my identity. I will edit again hopefully. ETA again: Here's the AI response I like. Universal Gospel: The Bible emphasizes a universal gospel message that transcends national boundaries and calls for love and service to all people, regardless of their nationality or background. Kingdom of God: Christianity focuses on the "Kingdom of God," which is not synonymous with any earthly nation. The Bible teaches that the true allegiance of Christians is to God's kingdom, which is not limited to a specific country. Warning against Idolatry: Christian nationalism can be seen as a form of idolatry, prioritizing the nation above God and distorting Christian faith. Jesus' Teachings: Jesus' teachings emphasize love, compassion, and justice, which should be applied to all people, not just those within a particular nation. Focus on Individual Conversion: The Bible emphasizes individual conversion and a personal relationship with God as the path to salvation, not national identity or affiliation. While some Christians may hold nationalistic views, these views are not supported by biblical teachings. Christians Against Christian Nationalism is an organization that actively opposes Christian nationalism and offers resources for understanding its dangers.
  5. I know without a shadow of doubt, that the Jesus I believe would never agree with Christian Nationalists.
  6. Edited out an Instagram video, maybe I will find another way to share it, because it's so good. It shows my FB account I believe. The epitome of what Jesus does, but Christian Nationalists go against.
  7. Haha, I may have deserved that.
  8. Not the same scenario, but before I took out the endowments in the temple I wasn't told what I would be covenanting to do beforehand. I couldn't research that unless I found some anti place.
  9. Well actually, they are saved but they aren't exalted to be gods/godesses and procreate.
  10. Or it's as simple as having step moms because of divorces or a widowed male that remarries.
  11. Yes, I had silver dimes and dollars. I'm so sorry about your ex son in law. I hate drugs and alcohol. I hate that my addicted brother has gone years and years, now with liver disease and being 55 and can't seem to kick it. I hope your ex SIL is doing better or that your daughter hasn't suffered, of course she most likely has, but hoping she's okay now. 🤗
  12. I pray this is the case, but afraid it really isn't.
  13. I edited out my political comment, but still this does stem from the Republicans I guess. But hopefully the LDS church won't go through with it. https://theconversation.com/irs-says-churches-may-endorse-political-candidates-despite-a-decades-old-federal-statute-barring-them-from-doing-that-260854
  14. Thanks, I think it could have been one of my younger brother's friends. My dad's Saxophone was also stolen from the premises. There's a chance it was my own brother selling for money, but sure hope not. That wouldn't be his nature I don't believe.
  15. I listened to a podcast with Greg Prince and he spoke on how well the church handles things in the world, and the good they could do for the world if only it would. But to listen to it is much better than I can put in words. Overall message the church could do wonders, far more than it already has. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/greg-prince-returns/id1682941294?i=1000716996582copy/paste of the intro: Ian and Jim welcome back acclaimed historian and author Greg Prince for a follow-up conversation about the future of missionary work in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together, they explore how the Church's immense resources—real estate, membership, and financial strength—can be leveraged to transform communities through service rather than traditional proselytizing.
  16. My friend and her husband's recent mission, helping every Thursday with the addiction classes has now changed. They were told they are in charge of the whole program a lot like being mission presidents and she bought a better internet to get better reception since it was glitching. And the program is a learning experience to be sure, and the time commitment is 20 hours a week. But all will be well I hope.
  17. And the church offers a lot of life lines, besides the spiritual ones.
  18. I collected coins when I worked as a bank teller, but the little bank I kept them in was stolen.
  19. Yes, and that was what made it great. I guess they have to move on since the old ones show she now knows who Clark is. Or maybe it doesn't have to be that way. Oh, I see I got the percentages wrong.
  20. I know that Rotten Tomatoes audience gave it 85%, but I'm similar to you but actually left before it was over. I guess I like the old ones so much better. Could there be too much AI or was the script terrible? O maybe they did show to much Superman vs. Clark as well.
  21. Everything feels off to me and I'm very worried. But it's probably the attention I'm giving to YouTube's and Instagram posts. Wake me when it's all over!
  22. the highway of
  23. Good for you, not too many would do this.
  24. I want to see this, but don't have HBO dang it!
  25. I really enjoyed this YouTube with an Evangelical Pastor. He spends time with the LDS missionaries in Texas. I was impressed with the missionaries, and impressed how well they prepared for their mission, and their grasp on the Spanish language they learned in such a short time. I think a lot of people think it's by divine intervention, can't think of a better way to say it. It sure is uncanny how fluid they are with the languages. This video reflects well on the LDS members, and I give it a year before this Pastor and his wife join the LDS church. They even live in Utah. He went all the way to Texas to interview the missionaries. I bet this is a good YouTube to follow or watch.
