  1. Always wanted to learn Chess, but feeling I'm not smart enough. Good for you Tony!
  2. After reading your comment, my mind went to the sightings of "Big Foot", and some are really convincing.
  3. Oh my goodness, I barely posted about a man who did this in my ward when it was my first child's blessing day, same thing happened and we wondered if it was a third Nephite. Now I solved the puzzle.
  4. I'm inept with a lot of things in the church, and the three Nephite's story escapes me. The only thing I know is that they never die and may be walking the earth today. Back when my first child was blessed in Sacrament Meeting, there was a mysterious man who came into the church building and went to the stand and sat down. No one around me knew who it was, and nothing was mentioned from the pulpit either. Someone near me on the bench said maybe it's one of the three Nephite's, lol. I guess I better not be lazy and look it up, plus I was not good at reading my scriptures, but loved the Ensign/New Era/Friend so something came through.
  5. Such a good point, thank you!!
  6. Here's Colby's response, listening now.4
  7. I think many won't be able to stomach this horrid devil, but it may be interesting for some. I'm waiting for her son to speak out to her sick lies. Here's Nathan's comments afterwards:
  8. I get it, thanks for the explanation. You're right, and I tend to not critically think often, or am bias.
  9. True, I guess everything he says isn't gospel truth. But not sure I understand what you're saying. Not you, it's just me.
  10. Good thoughts from Dan McCllelan about the topic.
  11. Good job Tony, on getting your profile pic up.
  12. Good things in that article, why the negativity? If you had two gay granddaughters would it somehow give you a different insight?
  13. I knew it, I remember stelf from way back when. Maybe he remembers me too? Hey stelf.
  14. I remember the time of being a bank teller and computers coming onto the scene in the year 1979 I believe. Wow, blows my mind what technology has brought us. I'm nearly afraid of what will happen in the future and what will be available. Not that excited, I'm already addicted to social media and my laptop, and who knows what I'll be addicted to in the future, makes me want to escape to the mountains and become a hermit or someone who lives off the land.
  15. My dad worked at Sperry-Univac in Utah long ago. Is it the same company that made a minicomputer? My dad was in the quality control that made parts for the Sergeant missile for the US Army. Just curious, and the thought of this brings me close to my dad.
  16. There is ongoing bad fruit falling from the polygamy tree. I think it was a mistake for JS to undergo, and his thinking that it needed to be restored at the time. I will reiterate many true believing scholars or folks, that our leaders are fallible and human. But sadly this happened, along with the blacks being denied the Priesthood for quite some time.
  17. I have the worst time with this as well. Very few will fit, it's always the file is too large. I use to have a flowers one, and then decided to change it and regret it. But I guess the one I have now will suffice. It's actually a pic I pulled from my brother's FB posts of a funny meme. But maybe I'll try a new one. I do need to take a class or something. ETA: actually the backstory is I was trying to change or delete my cover photo or the background on my profile and it messed with my profile photo somehow. But I break or jinx copy machines with my bad luck.
  18. This makes my heart happy! https://www.deseret.com/faith/2025/06/22/lion-of-the-third-civil-rights-legend-and-latter-day-saint-friend-rev-dr-amos-brown-honored/ Forgot to mention that Elder Matthew S. Holland spoke at the honoring of reverend Dr. Amos, quite the legend.
  19. That's what I was going to point out, I wonder if Scott would like to revisit the posts with his countdown clock on predictions. And I miss the two of them, although our beliefs didn't always align.
  20. Like a very active believing friend said the other day, you just put it on a shelf, not to me specifically but those around me. Which was surprising because in my lifelong membership I'v never heard that phrase until my faith crisis and only from others like myself expressing things that break the shelf. Now believing members have that shelf to deal with, I guess it's because the church has become more forthright with this history.
  21. They're only human, so there ya go. Lately I'm not bothered, got more important things like this world we live in to worry about now. I wish all I had to worry about was church history. If only!
  22. Love ya Skylla, and the other mods!
  23. I wondered what Stargazer was doing, at first I thought he was "following". I hope his scheme works!
  24. Oh what a relief, the board looks normal again.
  25. Somewhere in the middle, like me, lol!
