Thanks. I'll try that. Sometimes I find it difficult if one person's comment is on page 2 and I am replying to someone on page 6. When I initiate the reply to page 6 and go back to the person on page 2 for example and click on that one's quote button, it seems to loose my initial reply to the person on page 6. I might be doing something wrong.

Calm Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) If you press the plus sign by the word quote, it will keep at least one post saved for you. You can add multiple posts. So plus sign page 6 quote and before you reply, head back and plus sign the earlier one too and then when you are ready, hit the box and all the quotes will be included….but it looks like in a new post, as I just hit the box with this reply open. I thought it would be added to this one. Instead it opened a new one for them. Edited July 19, 2023 by Calm

Or maybe some might not want everyone to know this helpful youtube when they have to get responses that cut up their original posts, lol. And it looks like it will put first saved first, second saved second, etc.

GoCeltics Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Thank you. That helps. Is is possible to reply to a user within Thread 1 while emphasizing a statement [bold or italics] made by another user in Thread 2?

The best I could come up with is to open the discussion board on two tabs and copy the quote from one into a post with the quote from the other. If you want the person who said the quote, you copied to know they are being quoted, then you can do @ with their poster name and the board will notify them that somebody’s talking about them. 1
Tacenda Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Sorry if I use this topic to ask a question, sorry to the one who started if it's not okay. I recently have been released from being on "limited" status. I am excited to be able to react to posts. I see the upvote and heart for likes and don't quite understand what would give someone points, not sure how to say it. Does the upvote do that or the like or heart? And what constitutes each of them? 1
Calm Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 (edited) I have always assumed all the positive ones add and the negative take away. Shall we test it? I will give you a heart and let’s see if your count goes up. You currently have 3761 rep points added: gave you a heart and it went up to 3762 A trophy moved it up to 3763. I am at …17, so someone quickly downvote me…I don’t feel comfortable doing it to anyone else. Edited March 28, 2024 by Calm 1

Calm Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 (edited) @bluebell, since you are here, downvote this post please. I want to see if those count as well. Edited March 28, 2024 by Calm

Calm Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 A smilie ups the rep points as well…so all but a downvote increase rep points, down vote subtracts.
Calm Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 (edited) There are 12 posters with negative rep points. Grug winning by leaps and bounds (the next ‘highest’ is -25) at -60. He did hit a lot of the wrong sort of buttons….at least 156 times (since there are many who don’t like to express disapproval with a downvote, so can’t be counted). Edited March 28, 2024 by Calm 1

Calm Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 I think contributors are 50. It used to be less for others, but I don’t know now. 1

Long time ago you mentioned in some thread that you had run out of votes for the day at 50, and so I tried then to see if I could manage it. I did manage it, but it was hard work. Yes, 50 is (or was at that time) the limit.
Tony uk Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I'm new to all this internet forum/board. Still getting used to technology, so this section is definitely going to be of use to me.
