Is it wrong to be annoyed with this?

Below is apparently what was the Diary Queen next too or near the Mesa Temple

What I find annoying about is Moyo, is this a play on froyo (frozen yogurt) so that moyo is Mormon Yogurt?

And then there is JSmith, is it suppose to mean Joseph Smith?

Also there is Decafe Latte - which brings up all kinds other dumb issue "WoW is because of caffeine", "but BYU serves caffienated drinks"

And there is my personal preference that the LDS not pander to each in other in Business practices.

Our Temple is going to be built downwind from the dump and across the street from a Liquor mart, take the "Moyo" and enjoy it!

It would be bad timing since the temple is closing this week for a couple of years!

There are a lot of people in that area who are not LDS and a park across the street where lots of kids play so the decaf latte doesn't phase me.

They are not the first with the Moyo name. Moyo

I don't know. I'd kinda like to be able to have a Moyo after going to the Payson temple! In a way I kinda think  it good that something mormonish appear out in the "secular" world. Just think if Moyos caught on, and everyone had to have one - could be a good thing for the Church. While I am not crazy about the idea of church members pandering to each other, it definitely happens, but usually it is just not very visible. If this business owner wants to risk something like this, part of me definitely says more power to ya! I don't see how it is much more tacky than putting Moroni emblems on ties.

The part that irks me is that he is probably not using Mormon milk in his Moyo.

What!?  You don't go for Polystachio or the Latter Party Platter?

(that last one is so forced, the first one makes think of lots of men with mustaches for some reason.

I'm reminded of the "ponderize" kerfuffle which happened a few years back.

I think Mormons don't mind some mild-to-moderate consumerism pertaining to their faith.  I'm thinking here of the church-related books and various ticky-tack things (paintings, oil vials, etc.) sold in Deseret Book and Signature Book stores.  But these things tend to be A) mild-to-moderate, B) faith-related, C) faith-affirming, and/or D) useful in church-related settings.

Mormon-themed frozen yogurt isn't really any of these things.  Just blatant and crass.  "Hey, Mormons!  Buy our yogurt!  We've named it after you and your prophet!"

I will actively avoid this place.

Thanks,

-Smac
