Calm Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) Well said, Sheila. Tacenda, would you prefer the leadership to ignore the fact that some people have problems and treat them like they don't exist? Edited March 7, 2017 by Calm 1
HappyJackWagon Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Just little update. Mormon Leaks has reposted the PowerPoint document of the 17 threats. http://www.sltrib.com/news/lds/5056058-155/mormonleaks-reposts-lds-church-apostasy-presentation

All the talk of the Book of Mormon musical was funny or out of place. Ah well, I don't know much about this stuff, but I'd imagine they have presented some decent grounds to keep the document up. 1

And the Church fires back with Tad Walch of the Deseret News writing a hit piece on the attorney hired by MormonLeaks: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865675620/MormonLeaks-attorney-threatens-legal-action-against-LDS-Church.html
Gray Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Ugh. So much drama. Sounds like the wikileaks people maybe didn't hire the best lawyer?

This is the best that Mormonleaks could come up with? Talks to their credibility, that's for sure! Quote Should MormonLeaks continue this, they will lose. They are fighting against our Father in Heaven and I'm pretty sure He has much more pull than they do. Quote Some people just want to mix it up. Sounds like this guy is one of them. No worries, the Salamander Letter proved to be a fake so this will pass, too. I couldn't resist pointing some fo these out. Sure I'd say the article in Des News is working to some extent. I'd be surprised if the Church pursues this any further. I don't know if the Church has the law on their side or not, but I don't think it'd be a good idea in anyway to continue battling this out. I mean I consider the slide deck a bit embarrassing but I'd wager most members stand behind it. 2

Our conversion to a more transparent church will be a rocky road. 2

Luther and the supposedly-well-known "reformers" weren't the real reformation. They were instead Potemkin villages...like me. :0) The real reformation, typically swept under the carpet, was accomplished by the likes of Tyndale and Anabaptists. Calm Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Duncan, you are just being snide, right? Please reassure me.

The Nehor Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Doctor Who villains. They have been threatening the planet Earth since the 60s. Giant pepper shakers with toilet plunger arms. What could be more scary? 1

Not their best villain, but had some nice twists to them even if in general they were thick as bricks...how long did it take them to figure out stairs.

Dr. Who (the source of the tin can villains) became a bit too much that and I haven't really watched it for a couple of years after I got sick of the overly dramatic monologues and the lovesick puppy stuff. The last version I hear avoids that so perhaps I might watch it again sometime if it is still on .Netflix. Edited March 16, 2017 by Calm 1

From what I've heard this is pretty much the extent of Canadian TV. 3
