Looking for article: Mormon/ Moroni write as trauma survivor

Greetings. I'm working on a new piece about what battle was like for the average Nephite soldier. This is a face of battle approach somewhat common to military history but relatively lacking in regards to the Book of Mormon.  (I can send a copy of the current draft to interested readers.)  I remember reading somewhere about an article that compares Moroni (or Mormon) and his writings to a survivor of the holocaust, or somebody that shows he went through trauma or suffers from PTSD. Does anybody know about this piece and where I can find it?  I know my description is somewhat vague, but I've only heard about this from an off hand comment at a conference. I've done my best but can't seem to find it. I appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks.

Try a 1984 article by Gordon Thomasson and Lisa Hawkins, found in the FARMS Preliminary Report, "I only am escaped alone to tell thee:Survivor-Witness in the Book of Mormon"

Grant Hardy touches on this too:

"There is a note of resignation and passivity here [referring to Morm. 8:1–2] that we have not encountered before in the Book of Mormon. At least four times Moroni confesses that he doesn't know or doesn't care. The overriding emotion is loss–he is alone, with no more space to write, no ore, no family, no friends, and no plan beyond finishing his father's record and burying the plates. Sixteen years after the final battle (though there have apparently been subsequent traumas), Moroni is still in shock. Both the physical and psychological challenges of writing are nearly overwhelming, though he is writing" (Grant Hardy, Understanding the Book of Mormon: A Reader's Guide, 219–220).
