Tacenda Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Is this legit? What do you think the church feels about it and if positive that they agree, might they integrate it and use them on LDS.org, if it is so life changing? http://mormonprophecy.com/product/video-course-the-ancient-skies-and-the-restored-gospel/
Calm Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) So $160 to take his course? Extreme claims of knowledge and insights without any details actually given. I have my doubts. Edited January 11, 2016 by Calm 3
Avatar4321 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 charging money to teach prophecies... I know there is a word for that and I don't think its good
BookofMormonLuvr Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) I haven't taken the course, but he makes some interesting observation about the symbology on the roof of the Conference Center, that if correct show that either the church and architects are aware of what he is speaking of or unknowingly have been guided to put those things in place by the Spirit. Or it could all be bunk and a weird coincidence. I honestly don't know. Here is that Conference Center roof presentation: Edited January 11, 2016 by BookofMormonLuvr
Calm Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) It is almost two hours, do you have a time or a summary? Edited January 11, 2016 by Calm

But I have seen posts by others on Facebook showing the CC symbology in picture form, so I have a basic idea of what he will talk about.
BookofMormonLuvr Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Has to do with plasma streams and planetary alignments, and movements and the such. Way over my head.

RevTestament Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 This about sums it up for me: "I'm not much of a scriptorian" he says. He teaches a kind of magic world view or astrological world view. For instance he believes the earth is actually turned on its side when an outer planet comes in close in an elliptical orbit - this explains the "stars falling from the heavens," etc. I see the stars as symbolic of men. Yahoshua is the sun and followers are like unto the stars. They fall from heaven in the scriptures when they go astray and God sweeps them from the covenant such as in Daniel. It has nothing to do with planetary orbits or alignments. He may make a few valid points but I certainly won't be paying $160 to listen to astrology. 1
Tacenda Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 His presentation makes me want to take a tour of the conference center, anyone game to go is welcome. That is if they allow tours of the roof anymore, I'll check.
