Winning!Yeah, the terrorists got what they wanted. Increased militant population heaps greater abuse on local Muslim population pushing up recruiting. The French established in the Libya campaign that they are hard-pressed to run a military operation within range of their own airbases without US support. Not sure if they can do much in Syria.

It didn't come back on for hours, but in the meantime, my mind reeled since it has been less than a week since the attacks. I lay there in bed, my mind raced about what we'd do if this was an attack, if there was worse to come, and what we would do. Would we be ready to evacuate if necessary? Would we be ready to hunker down in our house? Today, I bought extra water. :/ 2

A large number of comments stated that it was a " dry run" to try out a new attack method. Draw a crowd and then blow people up.The world is crazy.

The multiple attacks seem new for that many, though 9/11 was four pronged iir ...two planes for the buildings, one for the Pentagon and the last the passengers were able to stop. Indeed, if Napoleon was not so obsessed with and broke from his wars to dominate Europe we never would have doubled in size. France's assistance in the Revolutionary War was not based on common values or mutual respect; it was based on France wanting revenge and to counter-balance growing British power in Europe. They are out oldest ally but they never really liked us much and for the most part the feeling was mutual. That being said I mourn for those lost and pray that the far-right parties will not grow stronger in France. This could get ugly.

I was eating dinner with friends the other night and they were so impressed by all the social media posts from everywhere in support of them!
