Homosexual Activist On Destroying Marriage: Fighting For Ssm Generally Involves Lying About What We're Going To Do With Marriage When We Get There

I agree it's a no brainer that we should have the right marry. But I also think equally that its a no brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist [applause]. That causes my brain some trouble. And part of why it causes me trouble is because fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we're going to do with marriage when we get there. Because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change. And that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change and it should change. And again, I don't think it should exist. And I don't like taking part in creating fictions about my life. That's sort of not what I had in mind when I came out 30 years ago. I have three kids who have five parents, more or less. And I don't see why they shouldn't have five parents legally. I don't see why we should choose two of those parents and make them into a sanctioned couple. And because between those five parents we have two groups or two different citizenships; two groups of three with different citizenships.

I got married in Massachusetts to my partner who is Russian, my ex partner. And by that time we had two kids, one of whom was adopted and one of whom I gave birth to. We broke up a couple of years after that and a couple of years after that I met my new partner and she has just had a baby. And that baby's biological father is my brother.  And my daughter's biological father is a man who lives in Russia. And my adopted son also considers him his father. So the five parents break down into two groups of three who have two different citizenships.

And really I would like to live in a legal system that is capable of reflecting that reality and I don't think that's compatible with the institution of marriage.

An absolutely stunning admission for most people but no secret to those who know what's been going on behind the public's back.

She said this in 2012 I believe. Why bring up now and do you believe her view has any power to it?

For the record I strongly oppose SMM.

There are over 7billion people in the world. Assuming 1% (which is low for most data I've seen) for those with homosexual attraction, that makes for 70 million.

Do you believe this one individual represents the agenda of 70 million others just because she and they may share a same sex attraction?

Or say one out of a hundred with SSA is something of an activist, do you believe 700,000 share her ideals?

It's the same agenda I heard in the 1980's when specifically assigned to teach homosexuals returning to the Church in California. So yes, her words obviously still resonate today. Do you honestly believe 2012 is so far removed from 2014 that there is no relevancy?

I'd say it's quite a significant number. Especially among those who organize this agenda.  The foot soldiers merely repeat the placating mantra that it's not meant to represent a threat to the institution of marriage.

If you don't believe it's such a big deal, why are you so worried that there would be an open thread on the subject?
