Hi, I'm Xena. This isn't my real name. I live in Berlin close to my brother Gero (former my sister). I'm a member of the church, and visit the Spandau ward. He told me about this forum, and that he is banned. That's okay to him, but he want to understand, why.

Except me, all of my family members don't want to have any contact to him, because he betray the LORD and his church. But I can't, because we are very close to each other (we are nonidentical twins). I'm not happy with her decision, but I accept it with a lot of pain.

I believe, that she want to be baptized again (as a man), but I believe, that she can't understand, that her decision is against the will of the Lord.

It's okay, if you don't want to have me here, but please, tell him, why he is banned?

Hello Xena and welcome to the Board.  I am sorry but I cannot address why your brother was banned on this site.  I have been banned from several threads during my time here.  Most often it is because I was a little too caustic toward another member of the board.  However, sometimes I strongly believe the banning was not merited.  The way I think about it is that the Board moderators are probably volunteers and they are human.  They do the best they can and sometimes they make mistakes.

They differ also from one another; I think a few of them are very proactive and others are more lax.  You probably should read over the Board rules to gain a good understanding of what is expected of each member of our Board.

It is disconcerting to hear that your family has chosen to cease interacting with her/him.  This is a terribly complex issue and there is not an easy answer.  We do not walk in his shoes.  We are responsible for our choices and actions.  We are called as saints to love everyone even our enemies; how much more should we love those that are going through trials that are so difficult as your brother?

He needs to talk to his bishop about his desire to be baptized again as a male.  This is not done, but it should be discussed with his bishop in order to gain an understanding.  Of course, the easy one is that there is only one baptism required according to the Bible.  She was baptized by one having authority and there is no need for another.

BTW, I looked for a GERO on our members list and that name is not listed.  Did he use another name on the Board?

I've been banned from threads several times, and once from the board entirely, almost like a timeout period and then let back on.

Has your sister/brother tried posting elsewhere on the board? Also, for the first 25 posts you're unable to edit or start posts.

By the way, I agree with Storm Rider, you and your family need to love him, even if he's transgendered or a non member. It is worse than anything he could become or do, if they don't follow that principle. I hope he returns here and gets some help or advice, going to the bishop as Stormrider mentioned is a great idea too..

There are other transgendered people on here, I believe. One that I know of, sounds like you both can use some help. How long have you been a member of the church? Good for you to try to help your brother even when difficult.

@ Storm Rider,

It is hard for our family and our ward, to accept my sister as "male", because God created her as female. On the other hand I saw the suffering she have had going through. BTW, our Bishop gave her a house ban, until she visit the church as female.

@ Tacenda,

As far as I knew, she had never ever post here before. But I didn't knew it for sure.

I'm a member of the church from birth on. Gero , her female first name is Gabriele tried several times to be baptized again. And every time our Bishop told her, that she had changed back to female, and as male she can't get baptized. The Bishop told her, that she had to repent, and change everything what is possible to change. to be a woman again.

Sometimes she got suicide thoughts.

Board guidelines are found here.  If you review the section "Topics we don't allow" that should give you an idea as to possible reasons Gero was banned.  Please don't start threads to question moderator decisions.

Gerlinde you have been banned several times before.  You need to keep your stories straight.  You know why you have been banned.
