Damien the Leper Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I'm getting my sleeves drawn up. I decided on different scenes in hell that will be more extreme than the Inferno. I'm looking at about $3000-$4000 worth of beautiful torture. Woot woot! Maybe I'll have the BYU Cougar in one scene...just for Garden Girl. 1

bluebell Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I'm guessing that you already have a career path where you know tattoo sleeves will not keep you out of the job market. That would really be my only concern about getting such extensive tattoo work done. Well, that and worrying that some day tattoo sleeves will be seen as an old fad and everyone who has them will look very silly, like girls do now that have the 'tramp stamp', or people who have the used-to-be super popular tribal arm band. But I doubt that would ever happen. 1
halconero Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Just watch as that cougar slowly starts manipulating that hellish inferno into a celestial scene of clouds, streets of gold, and multiple eternally pregnant women. I'm telling you man! Come to the Holy Land! The Anglican priest and the Catholic Bishop in charge of Trinity and St. Mike's college are putting on a Gaelic Language, Religion and Culture week right now. 2

But I doubt that would ever happen. Right now I'm a bartender in Central Phoenix. I want to teach at the community college level. There are lotsa teachers/profs who have sleeves. Mesa Community College, surprisingly, has some of the most liberally styled faculty and a much smaller LDS population. 1

It looks cool to some while they're younger, but as they mature in years it becomes a detraction honestly... Like the old hippies seen here on the Oregon coast... still trying to hang on with their dress style, hair, VW busses, etc etc. They look almost comical and stick out like sore thumbs with everyone saying, oh yeah, hippie... I hope you'll reconsider "sleeves" ... from the beach... GG Edited September 24, 2013 by Garden Girl 1

I hope you'll reconsider "sleeves" ... from the beach... GG It has absolutely nothing to do with faith. I'm doing it because the tattoos mean something to me on the inside. I keep in pretty good shape and I intend to stay that way. I'll get them touched up over the years. Besides, I'll be dead at 65.
strappinglad Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Perhaps you could make them solid green so as to be in harmony with the English folksingers.
MorningStar Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Why are you going to be dead at 65? 1
Garden Girl Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Why are you going to be dead at 65?Yeah, that's what I want to know too... GG
Damien the Leper Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Why are you going to be dead at 65? Yeah, that's what I want to know too... GG I don't wanna live past that age. Euthanasia, baby!! Just kidding.
Damien the Leper Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Perhaps you could make them solid green so as to be in harmony with the English folksingers. Nope! Not creative enough. I love hell and everything about it.
Damien the Leper Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 Some of the inspiration for the tats:

Garden Girl Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 What are Tat Sleeves?Tat sleeves are tattoos covering the full length of the arm... IMO a big mistake... gg 1
EllenMaksoud Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Tatoos are not permissibe. How does this make its way to Mormon dialogue?
Calm Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Val is no longer LDS so for him it is a matter of taste. 1
Tacenda Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 When Val first posted I at first thought a tat sleeve was skin tight material (sleeve) that looked like tattoos. But then saw the price and knew it was the real deal! Just don't get a tattoo that has some saying that is spelled wrong like a few stars or famous people have done.

As one who lived their whole live as Not Mormon, I can say with some authority that life under the covenants is better.
altersteve Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I'll admit that if I didn't already believe getting tattoos is wrong, I'd probably get some. Heck, I'd probably have a few already.
