I am a skeptic at heart and that has been a foundation that has also motivated me to always seek truth and appreciate it when I find it. My upbringing was Christian without being too committed to a single church. 1

Saints Alive Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I'd most likely be a none (as in no religious affiliation) like the majority of my family, but if I had to pick I would probably be a methodist most sundays and occasionally attend an episcopal mass.

The prophets of this religion would include Jesus, Joseph Smith, the Singularity (sending messages backwards through time), and Spock's premortal ghost.

I love their practice of offering healing for free to all who need it. Their ideas were a major factor in jump-starting the Enlightenment. There's no reason why you couldn't become one now, though it's probably easier to join the Golden Dawn and find their teachings. Any differences?I would believe that we all constructed our own worlds out of matter unorganized, and that I should try to be the best possible human being I can be, and be kind to everyone and do service as much as possible. I would believe that Christ as "The Word" brought all "things" into creation by defining them with words, and that it was only through Christ that we could achieve anything higher in and after this life. I would believe that I needed to have direct spiritual confirmation from God for every single spiritual belief I had, or what we would call a "testimony", because all we have otherwise is some other human's word for it anyway and clearly why should I trust them rather than my own "gut"? That is what I believed before I joined the church, so I never changed. In other words, I would be "LDS" without the name LDS. 1
