I am gathering the cell phone testimony yesterday and today is boring, but if you want to find out how it works to locate people, the testimony is apparently thorough.  I believe the towers have multiple towers and by driving around you can map out the corresponding markers…what those are I haven’t noticed yet.

Maybe it's already been posted but this is a phone call at jail between Lori's sister Summer and Lori. And Summer nails the questions for Lori.

So besides being sexually knowledgeable, crude,  and active, apparently Lori Cox had a sadistic streak as well according to her cousin. On a double date as teens, one of the guys was driving and intentionally swerved to hit and kill a cat and she laughed about it.

Sounds like Lori took after her dad. He apparently had a phrase, the “lower 95”, meaning the less beautiful, less smart, etc and of course his family was top 5. While the dad liked to pontificate on religion, the family was superficial in their ‘devotion’.  The “rules” didn’t apply to them.

Besides going to prison for tax evasion, the dad Barry apparently has accusations of sexual abuse against him, the family rumor was he had child porn on his computer, and the cousin said he was inappropriate in how he touched, massaged, etc others, including minor family members.   He would talk about Lori’s body and paid for her to get breast implants for the beauty pageant. 

There were also family rumors both he and Janis were unfaithful to each other.  

The kids as teens would speculate about what their parents were doing when they thought they were having sex. 

Very sexualized family. 

Sounds to me that religion was another way for Barry to dominate others, just as he did in sexual ways. Very twisted family dynamics.

The cousin from her experience with Stacey’s death felt even back then it was odd and she is suspicious not only if Stacey’s death, but the death of the infant daughter who had heart issues. 

Alex came over to Megan’s home and shared that he was worried about Stacey and wanted Megan to go with him to check on her (that is odd to me, like he wanted an alibi when he found her) and they found her in a diabetic coma. It was Megan’s parents who arranged the end of life care for her. 

The rest of her family besides Alex were all in Hawaii and none came back even after being informed she was dying for several days.  They didn’t come back until after she died.  

Her family said she was going to be buried, even were choosing headstone, and yet they had her cremated. 

There was apparently alcohol in her…which isn’t good for diabetics, they need to be careful and given her health would have been stupid. Also she didn’t drink. There were rumors that she killed herself.  Her health was bad, she was on morphine and her parents were making suggestions it was time for her to go. But it appears that Megan thinks she may have had help to die.

As far as CD’s influence over her, the cousin thinks she would have gotten to the extreme of killing even without him because of her inability to control her life liked she wants. She apparently had an obsession with death and the afterlife.

Apparently they got some info on the excommunication, not sure if it’s from the letter or not, but they stated CD believed he should be running the Church, not just having a side church of his own.

Ugh…may keep it brief today.  Cause of death of JJ is to be examined.  Autopsy photos will be restricted.

Sounds like he was possibly drugged with GHB in hot chocolate/chocolate milk laced with alcohol.  However…

There is bruising and scratches on his body, especially around the neck and under fingernails, waiting for explanation.  Appears to have been alive when taped up…really hoping he was drugged and unaware and the bruises were just from being roughly handled.

Added:  I listened to some of the phone call,  Summer is obviously conflicted.  She is deeply, deeply angry at her sister; heartbroken over the children, but still hoping there is some way out, that Lori has an answer if only she would share it and she is begging her to share it, but it’s pretty clear she doesn’t believe there actually is a reasonable explanation.

If you can’t, how can you tell?  Logical because body was disposed of, but could have come upon the body and panicked (speaking generically, not in this case).

Here’s hoping they find fingerprints on the tape that are obviously not there by accident.  They buried the kids in his backyard, sounds like they didn’t expect them to be found so why worry about fingerprints.

summary:  JJ was alive and fought to remove the plastic bag and tape, he had bruises likely from being held down.  Unknown for Tylee due to state of body

Someone on WS said her punishment should be to live in a cell papered with these photos, I could agree with that.  At least till there was remorse.

Testimony is gruesome and is not providing any additional info so far.

2:17 p.m. Thomas asks if Warren collected inside JJ’s sinuses. Warren says no. Thomas asks Warren how he came to the conclusion that JJ was smothered with a plastic bag. “He was found with a plastic bag over his head, it was tight and there were signs of a struggle,” Warren says

Bold above…I assume the attorney is just trying to connect with the jury, goodness knows his client isn’t likely to be doing so having been seen by the jury laughing and smiling so shortly after viewing the horrific photos of her son.  But good for the coroner to put him in his place given the importance of not holding actual science to the magical standards of much of TV and movie CSI dramas.  It is hard to see what the benefit of pushing the no swabbing might be except to criticize the coroner for doing an incomplete, allegedly sloppy job….but really it makes no sense to belabor it given the evidence there is unless one is heavily into conspiracies and thinks the government has endless money to spend on just in case tests.

Bet the audience took the chance to laugh like a small breeze of fresh air making its way to them in the middle of a nasty peasouper.

3:23 p.m. The next exhibit is a photo that shows the sharp alterations on the bones. Christensen says there were five areas of sharp trauma on the left hip bone and they were not the result of disease process.

3:22 p.m. Something with a “small service area” caused trauma to these bones, Christensen says. She is not sure what tool was used to cause the trauma.

3:21 p.m Christensen also points out thermal damage to the jaw bone. Christensen has experience in bone trauma. She says there is blunt trauma, sharp trauma and high-velocity trauma. Christensen identified sharp trauma on three of Tylee’s bones – the left and right hip bones and the back of the pelvis

I hope they explain what this implies.
