When I first joined I was banned from threads and even the whole board for a few weeks. It just takes some time to realize who we're talking to to. And how to be civil, and not offend people. This board has ex LDS, non LDS, stalwart LDS, LDS scholars and people from all over the world you're able to converse with. It's fascinating stuff. I've been on a few other boards, and this is the one I gravitate to the most. In fact the only one I post on. I like the format too, it's bigger font is great. And we don't just discuss religious things as you can tell. I credit being able to talk out my faith crisis on this board, as to keeping me in the church, believe it or not. Being able to talk out my concerns with issues I have with church history and having these super stalwart members know the issues yet still believe, is such an example of what could be. He may seem familiar to some by his choice of leaving it, which was demanding the mods ban and delete his account. I know this due to one of the many PMs he posted to me last night after I requested him not to. You can ignore, but can you block Posters? Seems like you used to be able to, but this would be the first for me. Everyone else has been nice enough not to PM privately if I ask them not to (a few want to carry on conversations from threads privately, especially if they have been banned, I am not interested in addressing the same topic in two places; interesting derail, more open to the idea). These are done at the local levels. Make no mistake - I think his views and actions are extreme. I just don’t think there is a strong case for him to have a disciplinary counsel held, let alone be excommunicated.

There needs to be more freedom.

One of my mission companions was active in the Partido Obrero Revolucionario (Revolutionary Workers Party), the Bolivian branch of the Trotskyite Fourth International. He had been a branch president and served in a district presidency. I'd say Trotskyism makes socialism look rather tame.
