Now I agree that they have toned down the language in the last 10 years but when I was younger the church was very critical of the creeds, pastors and particularly the Catholic church as "the church of Satan". So please don't tell me the LDS don't criticize or attack other Christian religions when that has not been the case since the 1840's. I served a mission 19 years ago, and telling people they didn't have an acceptable relationship with the Savior was not a part of our message. And as far as I am aware, the last person to publish the idea that Mormons consider the Catholic Church to be the church of the devil got reprimanded by the prophet. That was in 1958. 1
