savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Just now, Zakuska said: Yes he is, but that doesn't explain how he was able to "see" a man you claimed is invisible. "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4.24). You can't see spirit. Our spirit has the functions of intuition, communion and conscience which you can't see. Remember Mormons bring in the heretical doctrine 18 centuries later that God once was a man.

savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 This was not originally in the Trinity.

The Trinity is nowhere in the Bible. It was a belief manufactured well after as a reaction to being called polytheists.
Anakin7 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 So The Father was not originaly in the trinity check which reutes the trinity, thank you. In His Eternal Debt/Grace Anakin7

Before time and space the Trinity was alone from everlasting, nothing beside, and each Person co-equal. There is no Father or Son before time and space. These were manifested four benefit. If God did not exist before time and space, who created time and space?
savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Only God existed before time and space.

Still haven't explained how Stephen saw the Father and the Son side by side in the Bible.

If God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ, did not exist before time and space - I ask again - who created time and space? Do you not believe the words you write? Do you not understand the words you write?
carbon dioxide Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Time and space are not things anyway. TIme for example is simply a concept or a measurement of something and not necessarily created by God. We view time on earth based on the rotation of the earth on its axis and its movement around the sun. The international date line was not created by God but man.

The feeling that comes over me is I feel pride if that were true and it is not a good feeling. I prefer the humility of accepting that God was alone from everlasting in His Triune nature. And the second part of that question is why do Mormons reject Jesus created all things? I think these are the two foundational questions that really need to be addressed. Then you have to talk about are you going to be a god of a planet or not? Some Mormons are into that some not. So I assume that's why they break off into 150 different sects of Mormonism. If I can show you Rev. 2 & 3 is the 7 church periods will you reject the idea that the church disappeared for 1800 years? The way I see it, unless you can de,onstrate how spirits are "things", the Mormon doctrine of Jesus creating all things is absolutely correct. Just to show where I'm coming from, a noun is commonly described as a "person, place, or thing". Animals and ideas would be catagorized as "things" whereas a human being would be a person. Theresfore, a pre-mortal human spirit would be a "person" not a "thing". Mormons absolutely believe that Jesus created "all things", including our mortal human bodies. Mormons believe that the spirits of those bodies were created by God the Father, ergo, He is the Father of us all. So, again, unless human spirits are "things", Jesus absolutely did create all things under LDS belief. 1
Gillebre Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The funny thing is that there's no dialogue or discussion going on here at all. 'How long, Lord?'
savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Whatever you think you were made up for eternity in the past Jesus still created it because He created all things. Therefore, you did not always. Time to get off your high horse.
savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 If you don't like being called a think John 1.3 says nothing exists that exists without Jesus having created it. (Just in case you try to use a loophole)
Calm Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 You still have not explained why your God changes, unlike many other Christian faiths. LDS believe God is eternally progressing in at least glory, possibly in intelligence as well...since the glory of God is intelligence (it does not mean smarts when used this way) so it appears we may have that in common along with our understanding of the gifts of tongues and a few other things.

(Just in case you try to use a loophole) Quote John 1:3New International Version (NIV) 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. Actually it clearly says he made all things that were made...which leaves all things that were never made, were uncreated not created by Christ...such as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, right? 1
savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him" (Col. 1.16).
