All historicist views are false since they all reject the Lord Jesus who returns to reign on earth 1000 years. Nice bible verses you quoted in support of your first sentence. No mention of Jesus being on the earth during the millennium: Quote Revelation 20:1-6 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

You do realize the story is a joke though right? Even though you missed the point? I do admit to curiosity though. If someone in your congregation committed suicide would whoever presides at the funeral take time to point out that the deceased is roasting in hell right now? 2

No mention of Jesus being on the earth during the millennium: "Behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war" (Rev. 19.11). "And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS" (v.16). As recorded in Mark, the Lord used these words: “Until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God” (14.25). This indicates that the feast is to be enjoyed in the kingdom The “sup with him, and he with me” of Revelation 3.20 agrees with the words “Blessed are they that are bidden to the marriage supper of the Lamb” of 19.9. In the Bible the word "church" is used in this way. Church of Jerusalem in the churches of Judea, church of Antioch in the churches of Syria, so church of Dallas in the churches of Texas. So when someone asks what church a believers belongs to they say church of _____. Where 2 or 3 or more are gathered in His name there is the Church body of Christ. The unit of the church, therefore, is a locality and is the focal point. Apostles are directly chosen by God in a region of churches to appoint Elders of a locality who in turn approves Elders of meeting places. And the scriptures say none of this. Why do you feel God is unable to add to the Scriptures but that you can add as you please? 4

Mark 12:32 "for there is one God; and there is none other but he." Nothing beside God. Just God before time and space. If you knew what God is it would help. You throw out all these scriptures and you do not have the slightest idea what they mean. It makes dialog with you extremely difficult. 2

savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Is it better to be saved by a higher being that always existed and none beside him or one that is beside others and was not alone from everlasting?

savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Higher Being. Higher being always trumps lower being.

Zakuska Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Another parable that has issues with losttares understanding of OSAS. There would be no way or need for the Lord to leave the 99 and find the one lost sheep because there would be no way for the one sheep to get "lost" in the first place.

God gives us all sufficient grace to have the free choice to be kept.

You currently have a thread going about anachronisms in the Book of Mormon (which you're arguing pitifully), but have no problem with labelling Augustine a Calvinist rough 1200 years before Calvin was born? 1
savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Why would you want to be saved by a lesser being unless you reject God?
savedwheat Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 The points of Calvinism were already taught by Augustine.
