Then the person gets to choose which one they want published. 3

The time was that precise timing was not so important but now timing and orchestration have to be followed. It sometimes makes one wish for "the good old days" but many, many more are reached this way. If it were still done the old way I would not be able to be there. Modern technology is marvelous but we do lose a little of the spontaneity. 1

mtomm Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 When I worked at LDS Business College for the institute it was my responsibility to transcribe the talks that were given by GAs at the devotionals. After receiving the tape of Elder Faust I quickly transcribed it and made a bunch of copies of which I gave several out. Well, being a naive 19 year old it never occurred to me that this would be a problem. A little bit of panic ensued when word reached Elder Faust's office, I guess. Everyone was really nice about it but I did have to ask for the uncorrelated copies to come back. To his credit I don't remember making any changes after my copy was approved. Apparently he spoke off the cuff but didn't say anything he wanted to recant later. And now I wish I had kept a copy of all of those devotionals but sadly I did not! 1
