Oy, veh! I guess Hollywood really loves us.

Apologies if this is a repeat.

It's been done before - TV movie about polygamists (fundamentalists) a few years back had the man in basically the old style temple garment.

It was called "In God's Country" (also known as "The Ultimate Sin"), a Canadian production that aired on Hallmark Channel in the US.

Of course, even most current members of the Church are unaware of the old garment and wouldn't recognize it as a garment.

Oh, another super woman show.  oh joy.  She leaps over tall buildings, she is better at fisticuffs with the strongest of men, heck yeah; she is better than all men!

After watching the promo from the link above, at first I thought it was an advertisement for an "R" rated movie to come out, not a new TV series!  I guess I don't watch a lot of series, hardly at all.  Some of those scenes were terrible.  And I'm sure will be seen by many younger audiences since their parents will watch.  It just makes me ill, sex is nothing these days, have it whenever and whoever you want.  Not special at all!!  As for the garments, won't they just look like a white t-shirt and some white bike short looking things?  I guess it depends on the style.  I'll never forget going to a concert with Diana Ross performing, many, many years ago.  She started singing a dance song, forget now, and she asked the audience members to come up and dance.  One guy got up on stage and Diana was lifting up men's shirts to show their muscles.  But when she tried it on this guy she couldn't figure out why his t-shirt wouldn't go up.  He had on the one piece!

I guess it's a good thing the church put out the video on temple garments.  The leaders of the church must have been inspired!!

"Big Love"

...still a better love story than Twilight.

"Big Love" did the temple ceremony and showed a character at the veil doing the temple sayings while wearing the temple robes and hat. I thought that was the most offensive television ever.

I don't think they should have done the scene at all, but I thought they did a good job with it. The accompanying music, Samuel Barber's "Agnus Dei" (the choral version of his Adagio for Strings), was sublime.
