Men, Women, And The Priesthood

Thanks Bluebell.

I mirror your sentiment here. The question that perhaps should be asked are we fully utilizing both "hands"? Do both "hands" have equal support and guidance in the fulfillment of their duties? Some things both left and right "hands" can do equally well, some things not. But of the former category have we artificially and unnecessarily limited activities to one "hand"?

Personally, I think it can be persuasively argued that the Church does not currently equitably make use of both "hands". But I am more interested in other's opinions than a soapbox to voice my own.

I agree with this as well.  I think Elder Ballard would too, which might be one of the reasons he wrote, Counseling With our Councils: Learning to Minister Together in the Church and in the Family and then updated it recently.

Contrary to many, I think the Brethren are generally ahead of the Church's membership in asking for social change. Sadly, at least in my own local experience, many of the principles of the worldwide leadership training of several years back have yet to be implemented generally by the body of the Church. And if we can't even do that, can we do the more that may yet be required? Alas, conservative organizations by their very nature are often glacially slow to change.

I think that may be true, but I fear it hasn't always been true.
