If you aren't interested in spending the full $25 for the full conference, the separate audios should be out soon...if they aren't already.  You will be able to pick them up through the bookstore, but the streaming link is easiest through the current conference page.  Streaming only goes till the end of August, I believe.  (I should check that this is still accurate before posting...oh well, too lazy tonight, maybe will check tomorrow if I remember)

Kirby's talk won't be available as a separate audio in the future, just with the streaming right now (IIRC...I am pretty sure it is included).

The two panel discussions and Maxine Hanks are well worth the $25 and having Don Bradley's talk as well is cream (Don's and the rest I prefer to read due to the amount of detail in them but probably the best for most would to do both....).  I can't say about the first two of each day as we missed those.

It was a very informative and personal discussion. All the participants will do much to help people who are struggling with their faith. I think that they should also do firesides together because their message is so important for the members. This is what the church members need at this point in time: to hear from members who have been active, inactive, left the church, and returned because of historical issues etc.

Why Me - great idea!!!! - But having reached out many stakes don't see a need for it unfortunately.

That would be surprising. I would think that there would be a need. I am sure that they can be persuaded. :=) I think that having people talk about their faith crisis would be important since faith and doubt seem to go hand in hand. Also, to speak about coming back to church and why they came back could help others in crisis.

Nope. They are very disconnected from this issue.  They see no need to discuss this out loud among the general membership except one on one if a need arises.  Now I can only speak of limited areas.  I was asked to speak to a mission once in a neighboring state but the dates didn't work.  I also did a faith crisis fireside in Canada which was well received.  Closer to home though, not a chance

It is surprising that stakes would not see a need for such a fireside about faith and doubt. i think that many members would be interested in such a fireside. I also believe that it would help many members who may be doubting. Do any of the panel do firesides in their local wards or for the stake?

My concern is that this is a quiet problem.  By that I mean the doubter feels reluctant to share with anyone his/her struggle.  They fear the reprocussions of some who are not prepared to handle this phenomenon (how can they get prepared if we don't talk about it).  They fear hurting someone else's testimony by presenting issues that are naive to.   They see some members see a loss of faith as apostasy and sin and they say nothing and some eventually leave but many remain.  Most do not even talk this over with spouses until it is often too late and their doubts have become unbelief.  The ability to gauge a problem where many remain in the church and say little is hard to gauge.  so I get it, most members unless they are watching the stuff going on in the perephery have very little idea of the problem

Borrowed light, that kind of thing.  What each one of us really needs is a testimony from God to assure us of what is the truth is.

Hearing testimonies from other people only helps us to know more about them (the speakers), which can also be good, but not what we really need.

I agree that everyone needs their own testimony from God, but I think it's wrong to say that testimonies ONLY help us know more about the speakers.

Since we have testimony meetings every single month, don't you think that it IS what we really need?

Also we are forgetting that for some (D&C46) their testimony IS to believe on the words of others.  That is the only testimony they have.
