And I tend to side with the thought that HF wanted to create beings and they would live in a beautiful environment and la la land perhaps, have their families and so forth.

Then why exactly had Christ been ordained our Saviour before the foundation of the world was even laid?

Maybe the devil was correct, when we followed him.

Remember that it was the devil who specifically wanted to keep us from sinning in the first place. And this was not an act of loving concern on his part, either. As the 'liar from the beginning', he knew that his bogus offer of salvation without sin would inevitably lead to the damnation and enslavement of all of us.

But in our LDS belief we are saying that HF really wants us to sin to learn?

Not exactly. He wants us to learn. Just like you might wish for one of your children to learn to ride a pushbike. Do you want her to fall off several dozen times in the process, getting scraped knees, etc.? I should hope not. But there simply is no other way to learn, so the question becomes: do you really want her to learn to ride? If so, you and she are both going to have to put up with the scraped knees, and as a loving parent, you're going to be prepared with hugs and bandages and antibiotic ointment and ice creams enough to get past the scrapes and bruises to the desired outcome -- a child who can ride.

Actually, I named the two films according to how their opening sequences went. One has asteroids sitting in the dark to start with, and I called that one Star Wars, because of the asteroid field that the Millenial Falcon had to go through in The Empire Strikes Back. The other one started with a sequence involving planetary flybys -- and I called that one Star Trek because ST:TNG had planetary flybys as part of its opening sequence.

Excellent observation, and one that I can very much relate to!

Personally, I wish they would create an 'express' video without the detailed explanations and repetitions. Just a 30-45 minute video that covers the important parts.

I think we may have different definitions of what's important ... including at minimum the amount of time one gets to spend in such a symbolically and spiritually rich world just pondering and praying.

I enjoy spending a good long time in the Celestial Room, but I personally find that my prayers are at their most 'connected' during the endowment itself.

Funny, i secretly prefer the sealing rooms. (Though I love the celestial room). As a worker, there are so many sealing rooms that there's usually 1 or two that are empty around my break. I like to sit and ponder and enjoy the silence of no one there but the spirit and myself.

With luv,

The blond Adam and Eve are in my wife's home ward. We went there after Christmas and I tried to take some paparazzi photos with my phone in the chapel. If this film goes out of circulation it will really drop the value of those pictures.

That's probably why I'd like more time, a chance to be in there without the crowd. Do not go enough to have experienced it alone or with very few. Usually have gone on the weekends.

She's probably considerably older, with make up and an updated hairstyle. Am I right?

And what would you do with the extra time?

I hope you ask permission as it is not as if the actors in these films are intentional celebrities and there are many private people that don't want others to take pictures of them without permission....and one shouldn't imo.

More time in the Celestial room would be nice!

Can't you stay as long as you want in the Celestial room?

At some (one?) temple(s), I understand they'll let patrons go directly into the Celestial Room without going through a session first. Has anybody tried this? What'd you do? How does it work?

Thanks for the link. I saw a reference to the High Priest only wearing the garments, but not

women. Also consider that in the Old Testament, there was only one High Priest at a time,

not two or more concurrently.

Do you have a scriptural reference showing that the early Christians (men and women) wore

white garments when they went to the temple?

You know, if you asked questions with the intent of listening for answers, you might actually get answers.

What Hamba says...you usually just need to have you escorted up and in temple clothes (at least that's how it's done in the provo temple...things vary from temple to temple).

I should add that Jim's question is by itself valid (and easily answered), but that he has a long history of gotcha questions.

No, they usually have you move along.

Who exactly has you 'move along'? My mum used to work in a temple, and she told me that they were instructed never to ask anyone to leave the Celestial Room, even at closing time. If someone was still there at that point, she was to go get the matron or one of her assistants to handle the situation. Back in October, I stayed in the Celestial Room until it was time to lock up the temple for the night, and this is precisely what happened. When the matron walked in, I knew it was time to leave.

On many, many other occasions -- and in at least a half-dozen temples in two different hemispheres -- I've sat undisturbed for multiple hours in the Celestial Room. So again, who exactly has hurried you along?
