My dad often worked 3 jobs to allow my mom to stay home with her very young children. Nowadays I hear of men telling their wives to get a job. I wonder if they place much value on motherhood. Also, I see where alot of young married men enjoy alot of play time including video games. 1

Also, I see where alot of young married men enjoy alot of play time including video games.This is anecdotal, but my wife pointed out to me that her uncle, who is a wonderful man (as is his wife --- they have served several missions as a couple), has children who are active and stalwart in the Church and children who aren't. While they were active in the Church as parents, it just so happens that the children who aren't active in the Church were raised while he was very busy (and gone a lot) with the construction contractor part of his career. He lived the LDS lifestyle and attended Church on Sundays; he just wasn't home much during those years. The children (older and younger, in the order of birth) who were raised when he was doing something different and was home much more, are all active in the Church.While it's not as simple as simply "being there" and nothing else, that's a good starting point for many that will reap dividends, I think. 2

Joseph Smith was reputed to have said "Boys, you think I am a Prophet, and want to hear all I have to say. Now," said he, "if I should tell you all I know that will come to pass within twelve years, perhaps there would not one of you believe it, and would apostatize from the Church. But I shall let you learn things as they happen, then most likely you will all stand in the Church."Thinks are no better now. What we have is questioned by critics, anti's and sometimes members and that is just the easy stuff. What would happen if advance principles were revealed? You think your testimony would be suddenly strengthened and everything would be clear. I don't think so. You would say the prophet has lost his mind and is a fallen prophet and then you would write your resignation letter. 2

Perhaps that is a sign of a good parody.I can't say I was 50/50 but I did think there may be a possibility William may be trying to have some fun with rumors floating around on the "other board."Alas, I still feel silly.

I think this would be a colossial mistake. Why? Because then there will just be yokels like me that seem to muff stuff up more than they help. I know your pain. Some times the board or boards in general are very frustrating. But some one, some were, needs to take it up and post thought provoking threads. I understand the frustration. Though I might not know it as well as you and DCP. But remember if you guys go away, the enemy wins. I know, there are others that do well and have great threads. I am not trying to take away from them. Just give you some encouragement.

I have learned one reason is because God wants to see how we treat each other regarding those weaknesses.
