Deals with end times especially the Book of Revelation. Very informative

Interesting, but I wish they had more time to get in to more details.

Great video and interview. I was struck by what Dan said at one point.

"There is no box, there is no picture on the box."

Dan describing how people try and use the pieces from the Bible to create a puzzle picture of their religion.

I wonder if @Dan McClellan thinks that applies to Mormonism and the restoration?

Isn't that what the restoration is all about? Putting the pieces all back together again?

Sounds like you are piecing together parts of the podcast to support your beliefs.

Dan sure gets attacked a lot by the DezNat types on Twitter. Apparently, he's not orthodox enough for them.

Sounds like you are not reading for comprehension. What belief did I explicitly express in that post?

So you can't show any beliefs?

Let me help.

Those are questions. Not statements of belief.

Yeah they're dumb. He still creates content for Latter-day Saints (e.g. Faith Matters podcast), in addition to the general audience.

Yep, pretty much the same people.

"A thoughtful faith" is run by a white nationalist.

Wait ... Joseph Smith is the Savior? :unknw:  It was Joseph Smith who died on the cross and was resurrected on the third day?  You mean, not only do we have to celebrate both Christmas and Smithmas, but  Easter and Smeaster, too? :o  :unknw:

Man, I'm so confused: I can't keep my calendar straight!

Just started listening.   I keep thinking that it is strange that Woody Harrelson knows so much about the Bible.

Hanging out with Bart Ehrman

Dan learns from him the resurrection stories are contradictory

John who write the gospel is not the same one who wrote the Book of Revelation

Many of Paul's letters were not written by him. (see Forged) Paul did not write Ephesians see pp. 108-112. 1 & 2nd Timothy & Titis pp. 93-103.

You should've known all this by now.

Does Dan say he didn’t know they were contradictory before Ehrman told him?  I find that highly unlikely.

Should've been reading Father Brown.

Are you an idiot? Is a question, not a statement.

I don't know why the fundies get their panties all in a wad over Ehrman. When I read Misquoting Jesus I was like, what's the big deal?

I am glad I could help you see the difference.
