Too many Latter-day Saints are too eager to resort to lawless violence.

Are there really?  Or do the small amounts of extremes just get noticed more? Serious question.  Anyway to find out?  Like comparing arrests rates or something?  Something not dependent on media in its tracking?  I know there have been a lot of weird confrontations the past year, but could it be that they happened before and people now instinctively get the phone and record rather than just gawk?

Since political threads aren't already contentious enough, I'm just going to point out that this observation about appropriate footwear for January is temperate northern hemisphere-centric ...

Mike Lee likened Trump to Captain Moroni.  Perhaps that was as source of inspiration to the banner at the riot.

Maybe Hamba can tell us how many times in US history that the capitol has been " breached " by citizens. This isn't the first time no matter what the media says.

The Capitol Police has about 2000 officers. They knew this could be a powderkeg situation. It wasn't a surprise . Poor deployment or...

Everyone needs to calm down, especially the Deznat crowd.  However, I think that the election should be reviewed closely, if only for the sake of letting people have their day in court.  Trump and his cohorts make some good points.  I have never seen an election where the winning candidate stayed in his/her home and didn't have enthusiastic crowds following him/her.  Nevertheless, Trump is such a polarizing personality that stepping aside and letting Trump alienate voters seemed to have done the trick.  I just don't like Biden, but I don't really like Trump either.  Biden is too much of a warmonger and will probably put us into yet another war, perhaps in Syria or Iran.  Trump, however, is untrustworthy and seems to be only about his ego.

Can we have a do over with different candidates?

He has changed his tune, I'm thankful too. He made a statement that those that did this should rot in prison. I'm wondering why this change, but not to bring in politics. I'm just glad he sees this for what it is.

Where was the national guard? Surely those representing the united states saw this coming. The barricade was opened by the white house police, basically inviting the mob in. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. This is the first time that this was incited by the president, his son Don Jr. and Rudy. Did you see them today and what they said?
