Loki is the god of chaos, he Killed Odins son Baldur by mistake.  As punishment, Odin bound loki under a snake, where a snake drips poison on him unless his wife is there with a bowl to catch it. TBH, most people look at the gods as alegory, etc.  As cool as it would be to see Thor fly across the heavens, it's not happening.  What saddens me even more, you hardly ever see anything like was celebrated back in the day here, maybe the occasional maypole.  ;_;

Thanks....you haven’t seen Thor:Ragnarok?

No interest, kinda makes the Asatru belief system look like a joke.  Besides, more of a Deadpool fan.

Nah, it was intentional.  You don't go to that much trouble to find the one thing an invulnerable God is vulnerable to AND then set someone else up to take the blame:

Uh, depends.  You do know the Nordic tales changed over time right?  Loki was pretty much a divine trouble maker, read up on his travels with Thor to Jutunheim.

https://norse-mythology.org/tale-utgarda-loki/

The real bad guy?  Surtr and his flaming sword, he pretty much wrecks everything at the end of the world.  Surtr makes Loki look like a total good guy like Thor and well, Vidar, kinda....

Fun fact, Fenrir is one of the three children Loki conceived with the Juton (Giantess) Angrboda.  I dunno, breeding demon children that end up destroying everything really isn't pure evil, look at our current family system in the states, full of idiots who breed irresponsibly.  Every now and then, an idiot breeds a truly evil person like Charles Manson, or in Lokis case Fenrir.  That's why he's the embodiment of Chaos, chaos doesn't care about consequences it just, well does.

Absolutes of good and evil is more of a halmark of Christianity and other religions with middle eastern origin, most forest/nature based belief systems don't have such absolutes, in general anyway.

Oh you should see all the stalkers you have making posts about you on the Mormondiscussions board. Apparently you have a lot of enemies over there. JKwilliams here posts under Runtu over there and is a spy here for that board. They obsess over this board by making thread after thread about this place.

It's so spayshul to be a celebrity!

Sad they have nothing better to do.

Say hi to all my sweethearts over there, and give them a big gooey kiss.💘

Divine tricksters and semidivine are not known for consistency of motivation....whatever works for the tale...

Are we off topic enough yet, do you think? 😛

This sound childish, if you see the kitchen too hot for you, just leave quietly without whining...There's no dishonor in it, just because you can't take it.

Uh, I'm not spying for anyone, and I have no problem standing by what I posted on the other board. I don't know why that's relevant at all to this thread.

Laughing out loud at the note/description under your name.

Free at last!  Free at last!  Praise the good Lord free at last!  *ques soulful gospel song

Fun fact, mom did have me in a choir as a 7 year old, because of that I actually found ways to make gospel music annoying lol

That's too bad. It has a real impact on people as you surely know this phrase found its way into one of the most famous speeches of the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King was a very religious Christian man. It seems a great many of those who followed him have seemed to have forgotten that fact. They would do well to emulate him more closely.

I sang in the choir too, but I was older when I actually wanted to be in the choir. It really did me a lot of good, as I was extremely introverted before then. Being in the choir helped me overcome my fear of being in front of people, which helped me overcome fear of giving talks, etc.

I was just a trouble making 7 year old (What 7 year old boy isn't...) Who didn't want to behave and liked fireworks too much.  In my public speaking class we saw that speech, it was amazing.  The AME zion branch of Christianity is a good study, TBH the best Christians i've met here stateside were usually AME Zion, when I was growing up they helped us, no questions asked.  Kinda funny, knew lots of religious people who wouldn't raise a finger for us because we weren't members of their church, yet poor AME Zion Christians we knew helped us like we were family.  Real Christ like.  Also, those guys tell it like it is, this guy is my hero, fast forward to 1:30

I always love it when people try to storm off and slam the door only to have the door be on a spring so it shuts quietly.
