Kind Debater...

His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, the Everlasting Father...That was from the Messiah by Handel...Protestant. My stuff was Catholic. Like many of us, Jesus is a Son, a Brother, and a Father.

But where did you get that picture of our Max? Your avatar. We have a Siamese too. The Maxi Taxi. He is just a little guy but he is the king of the house. Everyone bows to the Maxi Taxi. Heh.

Well, see, first, he hijacked your Web cam ... :D;)

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;

but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(Romans 1:21)

the difference is that the church of Joseph Smith of latter-day stains don't believe Jesus is any better or different than them in essence, just another god-man that's "farther along" and happened to be especially good at following commands.
but the ones to whom it is given to know Him understand that He is all those things said of Him in Isaiah 9:6, which was misquoted in the posts previous.

Catholics and Protestants believe in the Jesus of the Book of Mormon who is the self-existent God, Fatherless and Motherless in his life before he became man Mosiah 15:3 Hebrews 7:3

2 Nephi 26:12

Mosiah 3:5

Mosiah 5:15

3 Nephi 19:18

so the Book of Mormon says it's impossible that he was a firstborn son of God the Father and Mother , No-way no-how

I have never heard of that church. This is the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints.

Very difficult to hold credibility when you do not even know who you are speaking to.

It is always humorous for a non-LDS to come and tell us what our scriptures teach. Perhaps you should listen more than pontificate.

Apparently with the exception of the part about “The Prince of Peace.”

“The Church of Joseph Smith of latter day stains?“  Although you’ve failed to convince me that Mormons believe in  a “different Jesus,”  your conduct on this board is starting to convince me that you do.

Flyonthewall pontificates about my post but produces no evidence for his claim :)

Did you come to have dialog or to score points?

I came to teach what the Book of Mormon does and doesn't teach, which is not Mormonism but the Creeds of the 4th and 5th century :)

So you know better than us what we believe. That arrogance is long past tiring, <_<

How can you teach something you are totally oblivious of?  The best you can do is teach your interpretation which is sadly lacking.

Remember our Christlike Charitable Catholoc Brother/Friend David Waltz that came to felowship in conversation with us here on this board in the past ?. Its like comparing Graduate School to Preschool with our new Catholic Critic HOLY CATHOLIC [ The New Catholic Johnney - remember him ?].

None of these verses mention the self-existent God, fatherless and motherless. Hebrews 7:3 is not even referring to the Savior. Why do you continue to make outrageous claims without any evidence? You are so determined to cause offense that you are oblivious to logic.

And what do you expect to accomplish?

Do you believe the Book of Mormon is scripture and thus you are hoping to spread the acceptance of it as God's Word?

Don't have to invoke David's name, we have 3DOP as an excellent example of someone who has listened and allowed us to explain our own beliefs over the years and who now often describes it as if he was a lifelong member….and still always willing to step aside for a member to explain it differently.

The creeds of the 4th and 5th century, which btw are not found in the bible. We will see you there.

Actually the source of the Creeds are the Bible and the Book of Mormon plagiarize the Creeds

We agree that these three separate and distinc infividuals constintute one eternal God. Combined, they are God. This is not something from the creeds, this is bilbical doctrine. Please explain where you find the idea of the self-existent God, fatherless and motherless. You seem to be avoiding this. Here is a better idea, why don't you post all that the creeds say about the nature of God, and link to each point a reference in the bible that they quote.

Huh? One nature? One essence? Co equal? Sorry but you are way off here.
