Just have to share....

Shaken Faith Syndrome, 2nd Edition-- Expanded and Revised, is now in print and available at the FAIR bookstore

http://bookstore.fairlds.org/product.php?id_product=10

We are sold out of the 1st edition, so if you have one, you now have a collector's edition :)

The 2nd edition has a number of changes & additions including:

A vastly improved index to find whatever you are looking for.

A new cover (front and back).

A reshuffling of some chapter placements to make the book flow more smoothly.

More discussion on the mental & emotional struggles that members may encounter when faced with challenging issues.

More discussion and highlights from scholarship on archaeology and DNA studies.

More insights into LDS scholarly studies on the Book of Abraham.

More insights into Book of Mormon anachronisms.

An updated Kinderhook chapter that includes Don Bradley's research.

A brand new chapter on race issues.

The book has nearly 20% more pages (so it's a bit more expensive).

An official press release will be coming in the next day or so.

Get 'em while they're hot!

I am just finishing the book for the second time and there are great many aha's in it. Now, a second edition!? Thanks for writing it.

If you have the 1st edition can you trade it in for the 2nd edition? Or do they only want cold, hard cash?

Cold, hard cash. We are heartless apologists, after all. ;-)

Oh cool....I have a collector's item. :)

Congratulations on the new edition, Mike. I may have to have that!

Thanks Seth. I hope you like it. I quote you in it. :)

Wow!

You know, for being a vile fifth column apostate I'm getting a lot of play with you apologist types. First Greg, now you.

You are guys are really killing my street cred. :)

Not a problem, Seth: I still hate you. Just casually mention that helpful fact in one of your typical dope-smoking, wife-swapping, Constitution-undermining apostate parties, and your street cred should absolutely soar.

In the meantime, for Mike: Congratulations! As soon as I get the official press release, I'll post it on my blog and, if my co-conspirators are okay with it, we'll get it up onto the Interpreter site.

I'm putting this on a t-shirt.

.

There isn't much social time built into the agenda of the next meeting but I'll check with John and see if we can move things around.

In the meantime, for Mike: Congratulations!

Ordered the book and its on the way.

(P.S. Sorry for the thread derail, Mike. But what Dan said was pretty funny.)

So what is this book . Is it a review of Mike Ash's book or a book with a similar title ?

It's not a book. It's a review of Ash's book, as you can see from clicking calmoriah's link.

What is a fifth column apostate? What would you LDS cultists classify me as?
