. But I'm scared because I don't want to be cut off at the last day because I chose never to get married.

There is nothing doctrinal that teaches those who choose not to marry wii be cut off, they may still be part of the Celestial Kingdom just not the highest level of exaltation.

God is the kindest, gentlest of parents, no one knows better how we have become who we are with our gifts and our scars. He will not punish us for that which we are not responsible and will lovingly provide us with healing even of the most horrendous wounds possible, though we may have to wait until the next life to receive such fully.

Someone in your position should understand the value of counselling, you might want to look into that when you feel it is appropriate.

Exactly... that is made clear in D&C Section 132... those who abide a law will be blessed according to that law... so those who keep their covenants but choose not to marry according to God's word will still be in the Celestial Kingdom but not exalted in the highest level.

I do not want anyone to think that I regret becoming a Chaplain Assistant, because really I don't, after having a long talk with my mom I realized that at the heart of my problem is fear. From the time that I was very young I have failed at so many things, things go wrong for me on an almost daily basis and after 25 years of that I am mortally afraid of failing at marriage.

No one wants to fail in keeping our covenants in regards to marriage which is made between the a man, a woman, and heavenly Father but civil divorces unfortunately happen especially in today's day and age.

For myself, all I can do is to continue and honor those covenants and trust that Heavenly Father still wants me to be happy. In today's world, I feel like an albatross but that's okay.
