Calm Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 (edited) Which has links to his temple vids, right?My understanding..and the mods will correct if I am wrong, but based on Rob Bowman's site which is not allowed any links to the entire area, not just the pages with temple content, I assume if this man's account promotes exposure of temple content, it is not allowed according to board rules.It is Sunday and mods are often not available, normally I would not say this much, but links to explicit temple films, even secondhand might result in some mod action and it would be unfortunate to be banned for such.Adding: mods are clear and present, so sorry for the nannying. If you want to fight take it to him where it might actually help educate others. And you have informed others of his existence so if they are so inclined they can do the same (as I believe has happened when others have brought this up before.It is important to fight the good fight, but that doesn't mean one has to turn every place one lives in into a battlefield. Kind of defeats the point of fighting to do so, IMO.If you are asking for help in gathering ideas, that is something different than just criticising the person...which seemed your intent to me due to the label "coward"? As of right now there is no way to bring the fight to him and I can't do that or help others do that, without posting the only info I have on him which is his youtube account name. He has blurred himself and others in the videos to not reveal who he was, or I'd be calling SLC to get him excommunicated.

This fellow posting them online is doing nothing new, and nothing worth worrying about. What he's doing is completely inconsequential. There is no "fight" to bring to anyone. What matters is what happens when we go through.When Max Florence tried to blackmail the Church in 1911 with unauthorized photos taken of the interior, the First Presidency commissioned Talmage's The House of the Lord, which included wonderful high-quality photos. Personally, I actually first became interested in the Church by reading anti-Mormon Temple exposes; they function as free advertising. As Nibley wrote, describing the vast amounts of information in his Message of the Joseph Smith Papyri, "all this is an open secret among scholars today, so we are not giving anything away." Honestly, I'd love it if the Temple texts were reproduced in our standard works (along with all the First Vision accounts, the Sermon in the Grove, and King Follett) so that people know what they're getting into when they join the church.
