Calm Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) Is "jesus freaks" the kind of stuff that is allowed to be said on this board?I wasn't aware that "Jesus freaks" was always a derogatory term....am I behind the times? I used to live in an area where it was used by people to describe themselves in a positive way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_freak Edited October 24, 2013 by calmoriah
Tacenda Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Is "jesus freaks" the kind of stuff that is allowed to be said on this board? That's what someone called an EV once, I wasn't agreeing and will take it out, I shouldn't have repeated it.
savedbygrace Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 He's given his name on the Heart of the Matter show. He and another guy are on the show talking about how they filmed it. He might have a death wish, who knows? Since he's on this show with a group of non denominational Christians, maybe he's become one of them and actually thinks he's saving the Mormons from going to hell. There are a lot of non LDS Christians that are going around to warn people. He may be thinking along those lines. In this regard maybe he isn't doing this for himself.I think you are being generous, this kind of sensational behaviour is inexcusable because of the blatant disregard for the feelings of those involved. It is no more up for public consumption than secretly filming the Pope in the bath 1
VideoGameJunkie Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Well they have a new video now in the temple. Hopefully no one films the new one.
JLHPROF Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Well they have a new video now in the temple. Hopefully no one films the new one. Oh, it's probably already happened, or someone hacked the digital video file on a Church computer, or someone leaked it, or something else, or something else...
VideoGameJunkie Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Well filming it won't stop the great work that is done in the temple. They can't record the spiritual feelings members feel.
why me Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Well filming it won't stop the great work that is done in the temple. They can't record the spiritual feelings members feel. One way to fight this kind of behavior is not to make the temple ceremony so secret. The ceremony is now public record anyway. By making it more public, it could be a great help for those who have never went. The video could be used to explain certain aspects of the ceremony to those who will be going for the first time. It could be very educational. But I don't think that this will happen.
