If someone says something that COULD be taken wrong if certain words are removed, then of course those words should be removed when reporting the quote, because clearly the speaker didn't really intend to include those words.

Thank you, it's was a real joy to work on.The editor was still working on it last night at 11pm. We were all a bit anxious.
David Bokovoy Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I really appreciated Burton emphasizing work and personal responsiblity in the Church's welfare system in contrast with other welfare systems.I agree, out of all of the testimony, music, and stories of love and compassion, that was certainly the highlight thus far. I'm not sure which systems he contrasted the welfare program with, but I'm with you!

Holland was great and so was one of the seventy who talked about families and children. I should have paid more attention to his name.On a side note, how many women speakers were there? On Saturday I just listen rather than watch and fully admit I did so while cleaning so I wasn't always paying full attention. However I only recall the counselor in the Relief Society that spoke on Sunday am. I am not sure I would have noticed, but my 6 year old did and said that she didn't think women were allowed to speak (which means I have been doing something wrong in my teachings with her).

I posted on facebook that it was one of the best sessions I have heard. A lot of powerful and meaningful talks in just two hours.

I think we forget how hard is must be to be in Pres. Monson's position. I can't imagine going to work every day amid accusations that the deaths of gays are my fault and knowing that people are hurling cruel insults at me by name and villifying me for all they deem wrong in their world. As a member of the Q12, he probably never faced such personalized opposition, not being a lightning rod like Elder Packer and some others have been.For a tender hearted man, it must be heart-wrenching.

He speaks it plain that's for sure.Elder Grow of the Seventy touched me with his talk on the atonement and its power for all of us.My spirit sings...GG

Monson has received.

Benson's talk about RMs who weren't getting married? Seems to be the same things. In the ward where I was at the time, we had a weddings within the next 12 months. That brother told my wife of the talk the bishop had with him after conference. Wonder if this will have the same results -> bishops talking to young men.Marvin
