Once a King,always a King,but once a Knight's enough!

Pretty good, that! ;)

Did you hear about the news anchor who, having been granted an interview with the Dalai Lama, attempted this joke with him.

[media=]

Yes, I did, actually. For that joke not to have fallen on its face, he would've had to take the Dalai Lama to a pizza parlor first to provide some context. :)

Totally out of control now, consumed with an overpowering lust for vengeance, Peterson turns fiercely on the very leaders of his own church:

In the book, Brother to Brother, Br. Rendell Mabey describes running into an apostle while out getting some circulars printed. The apostle was working in the print shop.

Excellent article on the current discussion for the need for the restoration of Apostles. I was not aware of this caliber of discussion among the Pentecostal groups that support or advocate a five fold mission of the Christian church: prophets, apostles, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Thank you again for writing and sharing such great information. Silent? Oh, eat my grits. Should your soap box ever fail, we will build one for you.

It is gratifying to know that the Bible still speaks to those who read with open hearts. The scales fall away and they realize that a "Restoration" has always been needed. The challenge for them will be how are apostles to be called?

It makes my skin tingle to think how the Lord moves to bring all into a unity of the faith. May the Prophets and Apostles speak loudly, clearly, and with power to the world. The Church of Jesus Christ has been restored. Bring your truth and we will unfold the fulness of the Gospel and the authority to act in the name of God for all. We need to roar as lions, yet remain as meek and humble as lambs with our brothers and sisters. We have much to offer, but they bring a wealth of wisdom and spiritual treasure to enhance what we have. Things will change and change seems to always be painful. Good times ahead.

Is this the Brother Mabey Brother Monson talks about in one of his stories?

Don't know. The one in the book was one of the first two missionary couples sent to Nigeria after the 1978 revelation on the Priesthood. They were sent there because there were a large number of congregations who had self-organized as the LDS church without any authorization. It was a very interesting book.

Increasingly unhinged, Peterson strikes out in uncontrollable rage to smear a group of decent, honorable people who have organized a conference for later this month in Logan, Utah:

It looks to be a wonderful event. Thanks for the excellent write up. I wish I could go, but schedule and resources don't permit me this time.

Incidentally, for those (the uninitiated) who may be puzzled by the way I always characterize these articles: I'm satirizing the obsessive Internet critic whom I've christened my "Malevolent Stalker." He's been monitoring everything I do and say, and flatly inventing quite a few things that I don't, for about six years now. He habitually portrays me -- I doubt that he really believes it, but I suspect that he pretends to do so for rhetorical effect -- as absolutely seething with impotent rage stemming from humiliations that I supposedly experienced while a missionary in Switzerland. Or some such nonsense. It's très bizarre. Still, he has about five or ten disciples who seem to take his hostile silliness very, very seriously, so I mock it.

and here I thought it was from having your mother take away your pacifier at too young of an age....

Clearly deranged, Peterson calls for a jihad against people who disagree with his views on the Virgin Mary, the Trinity, and, even, Nephite coins:

Good article.

(Could your introductory post be viewed as an over-correction. :) )

(Had a fellow in the store yesterday who had some good things to say about you and some of your suggestions for reading material.)

Dr. Peterson, have you ever written anything on God's "eternal nature"? I know some LDS believe that God has always been God, but I'm not sure how, exactly, that is explained, within the context of LDS doctrine.

Entirely unconcerned with reason, decorum, and decency, Peterson savagely mauls a beloved piece of musical theater out of sheer malicious spite:

"but because their implicit religious themes resonate with readers in a way their often shallow imitations didn't."

Les Miserables, and Count of Monte Cristo too.
