  1. "Michael" was absolutely amazing, I was so emotional watching it. Michael's nephew played him, and it was him to a T! Also, just watched, "This is It", the concert he was preparing to present, until his death stole him from us. I don't believe Michael was a "pedo", and he wasn't found guilty, but for a time I suspected things. And I shouldn't have.
  2. I think the church makes it worse when they ex communicate people for speaking out about the church. Sure ex communicate evil people, but Landon and even Dehlin seem far fetched. Especially when Radiofree Mormon hasn't been ex'd why would that be? Unless he already took his name off of church records. Which wasn't so as long as I can remember. I no longer watch/listen to anything on Mormon Discussions, or it's been many months. And suing Dehlin is probably a bad move especially if it draws people to him.
  3. Good to see a lot of you long time members showing up!
  4. I sure like Pope Leo XIV! I've had a faith journey that I'm still on, it's a ride for sure. I feel a much closer belief in God so that's good. I have had issues with certain religions hurting people and like to have an individual path, not someone in between me and God. Sure glad you participate on the board Tony UK!
  5. Thanks for sharing!
  6. Loved that show!
  7. Good to see some people like Smac and JLHProf and you around!
  8. and a robe
  9. They seem well in every other way, thank goodness.
  10. Just saw this in Insta! Is this true? If so we need to limit our usage of Chatgtb. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1XLmaucqcq/
  11. All I know is I was a little impressed, more than I care to admit, on how well King Charles and Queen Camilla were treated in the USA. It was amazing! Kudos to those that made it happen. In the past I didn't have much regard for King Charles and Camilla because of their affair during Princess Diana's life as his wife and girlfriend. But I guess Charles didn't have a choice? Was he basically forced to marry her, not sure. On a recent trip to London England and seeing all the sites for the royals, I got a little miffed at the large castles and fine workmanship and in my mind thought a lot of people probably slaved to create them. And I didn't like the early history of the royals a few hundred or so years ago. I had a bad taste for the royals and thought the people were over taxed to provide for them. Well I was sorely mistaken now, our tour guide set some of us straight. She was with us on the bus and had asked if we had questions. Someone mentioned the people being taxed to provide these luxuries for the royals. She said we were wrong, and that King Charles/Queen Camilla with Prince William and his wife and especially Queen Elizabeth worked extremely hard and also were frugal in their clothing and would buy the very best and would use it for years and years. And that their calendars were filled for the whole year each year attending ceremonies for all kinds of things and charities. They couldn't just choose what they could do with most of their time. It gave me a different perspective.
  12. it was made
  13. Here's a KSL article about it. And also, why has the church been silent, or maybe they haven't but I thought the Great Salt Lake was a big priority and the humongous data center, the largest in the country I believe, being shoved through the system and not letting the citizens know much about it, is not only horrible but I think life altering in a bad way. https://www.ksl.com/article/51491313/cox-backs-box-elder-county-data-center-proposal-in-part-due-to-national-security-factors Gov Cox said it's needed, but is it, with all the other data centers in Utah? Also, I'm probably oblivious, but why do we need them? Is it all about AI and some conspiracy thing that will enable our lives to be spied on? I appreciate your input on the MDDB. You usually know your stuff, unlike me! BTW, it's the Mr. Wonderful guy on Shark Tank that is the leader on this. Who is profiting the most I wonder.
  14. Found some!!
  15. I have been asked to bring cookies or brownies to my daughter in law's baby shower at a park for lots of family and friends. Kinda unique, since it's including men and families. I have been only cooking baked goodies the keto way, not using regular flour or sugar in my recipes. It is really hard to go back to baking that way. Curious if anyone has a healthier version of the recipe for cookies especially. Anyone? Thanks for any help!
  16. That may well be, but it takes about that amount of time asking for donations!
  17. I recently got back from visiting the United Kingdom...Ireland, London, Scotland with a tour group. I walked so many castles and cathedrals and I thought to myself that people would be like me and interested in the CoJCoLDS's like I was interested in the Catholic and Protestant faith's churches/cathedrals and cultures which goes back so many years ago and remember reading that the Salt Lake Temple and visitor's center is top on the list of tourist tours. This will be a great addition for that.
  18. This is the guy that I've been following and sharing my thoughts with that he's wrong about Buzz Aldrin saying he hadn't been to the moon. He just keeps coming up with different conspiracy theories. I remember going to a park in Bountiful, Utah several years ago where he spoke at a freedom festival of sorts and he was a big Trump supporter. He no longer is and I thought he'd maybe decide facts are real, but he's a moon landing denier and posts videos of different things that pertain to that unbelief. He believes the government is out to get us, recently the chem trails being another one and posting videos of it. But hey, sometimes I tilt toward what he's saying thinking I may be wrong too. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AvVHdZrSa/
  19. I'm thinking so. But I haven't really talked much, they act like I'm the dumb one.
  20. They are probably getting information from hoards of people that think the same, but they don't care if I disagree. Good kids, just want them to check the facts, which I've told them to look into. Edited: They are dead set on believing the info about Buzz Aldrin not reaching the moon.
  21. For sure, I'm stumped. And when it's your own child saying this, it's even more frustrating.
  22. Thanks, I'll check it out!
  23. I've always believed we landed on the moon. But lately I'm hearing from people that we really didn't and it was all fake. Like even with the people flying around the moon now, they are saying the lady hair sprayed her hair to stick up. My son and his wife are believing what is going around and I don't want them to be steered wrong. If any one has some real proof, I'd love to set them straight. There's something going around about an astronaut saying he didn't land on the moon, but what is shown is interviews he's had taken out of context and made to look like he's saying we didn't get on the moon, but I watched one of the interviews and he actually said that we haven't been on the moon afterwards. The astronauts name just escaped me, so I'll edit soon.
  24. Has she had or done anything real stressful lately? I'm embarrassed to say I exploded in tears on Easter Sunday when my husband wouldn't hide the Easter eggs for the grand "littles" before they arrived, he feared the candy that melts would melt in the sun, and wanted to wait till right before we have the hunt, and I was worried that would blow the hiding spots but he did hide them earlier when I wanted and he was right, they melted! It was me, and my pressure cooker ways, I stress about the food and every little thing being good enough and sometimes my husband will seem to thwart it for me. Like for instance when we would have dinners for my kids who are all out of the house, he would seem to think dinner was ready, and call everyone for prayer. Well, it wasn't ready as far as silverware, drinks or little things, and he just could not help himself. To me, it showed he didn't respect me. And in other ways he seems to think the worst and is negative so I almost feel he wills things to go wrong, but it's not out of spite. So after my explosion and our feelings for each other were on the line, we luckily got it together before the family arrived. I hold things in a lot. Could it be she had a reaction somewhat like mine, over something so small? Is there something she had been trying to have be just right or perfect. Maybe even Gen Conf talks that she's had a renewed sense of trying to be better? Just my two cents. Hope everything works out and you two can discuss it together and get to the bottom of it.
