  1. Maybe it's what I watch on YouTube, but there are such horrific things I'm learning about from things popping up. I want to go back to being unaware of these things. The abuse is rampant. It's world wide, and it's the entitled billionaires that want to do whatever fantasy they have. Even going on hunts, of human beings. I best not say too much because it's so evil, and I'm just learning of these things. I think there is something on the horizon. But I hope all of us blow it all down, expose everything and hang every one of them like the old days.
  2. Recently I saw a super good rom-com called, "Solo Mio" with Kevin James, and the star that was in "The Chosen", Jonathon Roumie. Great movie, for the scenery, for the actors and the feel good and nothing in it to make me wince. Also, the famous singer Andrea Bocelli was in it, and maybe even his home in Tuscany, Italy.
  3. I've been watching the first video and I have a lot of questions. One is how did she have seven children before her marriage at 20 to her husband? I haven't finished the video so maybe it will get explained. The only conclusion could be that she had children at puberty?? Nevermind, I just found out, that they are angel babies. But I'll continue on to watching the rest. EDITED: Nevermind, a second time, the more I watch, she physically had seven children during the time she started puberty to whenever, however seven children can be born and murdered before she got married. It seems so bizarre to me. I want to believe her and her family though, so I will say I choose to believe.
  4. I've been reading statements from a few child stars who came out in favor of Michael Jackson not being a pedophile. But that he was more trying to protect them from the pedos/child murderers out there that has been mention in the Epstein files. All I can say is nothing surprises me anymore.
  5. I donated to this charity I believe, good to know.
  6. CFR, from my research, the church does baptize undocumented immigrants.
  7. This movie might not be national, but for those in Utah, it's a good one. It's called, "Standout, The Ben Kjar Story". Turns out he's from my hometown and went to my high school and junior high. I didn't know that going in. Well worth the time to see, I was emotional all the way through. It was directed by T.C. Christensen, a local cinematographer, writer and director. Here's the description on Cinemark: The inspiring story of Ben Kjar, born with Crouzon Syndrome, a rare craniofacial disorder. From birth, doctors warned that his life would be dominated by limitations, bullying and harsh scrutiny. Despite that prognosis, Ben yearned for an ordinary life free from judgment and harassment. But as unexpected challenges arose and ridicule resurfaced, Ben found himself at a defining crossroads: fade into the background of a "normal" life, or fully embrace his difference and boldly stand out.
  8. Maybe because I'm not active, they've stopped sending the Deacons for fast offering collections. I miss those days of having them! But then I thought maybe it's because people don't use checks anymore? So maybe they have stopped coming around to homes. Or it depends on the Stake/Ward?
  9. I just saw this question, thanks for asking it! It looks like Calm gave examples, thanks @Calm!! I did go searching for some more, and I saw several articles. I decided to share this wiki for some eye opening things. Of course maybe people don't trust wiki much these days, I don't know. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deaths_in_ICE_detention
  10. EDIT: It took a down vote for me to take a look at what I posted below. I'm thinking I may deserve the down vote. I posted without much thought and care, only because of what I'm seeing in the country with ICE currently. I really don't think the majority of people treat immigrants badly, the US or America has always been more a melting pot. I read Instagram as the immigrants that were granted amnesty were coming from the US. I'm notorious sometimes for posting w/o a lot of research. So I apologize for this. Instagram on how Spain has made 500,000 undocumented immigrants legal in that country. I say, lucky them...the country and the immigrants. They were treated inhumanely in America. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUIFZIqDICI/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  11. I've heard Spain is spectacular for a place to visit and live. Thanks for your comments here. I think a lot of people are abandoning living in the US. And tourists are afraid of coming here. And if your skin is brown, it's scary too. You could be legal and still kidnapped to who knows where. I would never report someone for this reason. They aren't taking care of the deported and many have died in concentration camps, some have called them.
  12. This is such good advice, I didn't even know there was that feature, thanks so much. Often it will get clear to the end in my sleep and then I have to figure out how to re-play the chapters before it's put back in the system.
  13. A couple of years ago I read/heard that fasting is good for your body. So that's a big plus. And in answer to one of the questions, it can't hurt to pray for rain. They've done studies on how lots of prayers for something can work.
  14. Hi Tony, lately when I walk, I read you use more muscles if you take shorter fast steps and I felt it in my legs. Found this on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/reels/C6dx4UOuikJ/ if it might help explain better.
  15. I only liked the middle. I don't think I finished it because Libby took it back into the system. Or a lot of times I listen during the night and miss a lot because I fall asleep. So I'm thinking your experience is probably spot on.
  16. I'm so glad the church was honest in finding BY was a product of times, so to speak. Still, wish he'd just read the Bible correctly and not put words in it. c/p of a Google AI pop up: The mark of Cain in the Bible (Genesis 4:15) was a divine sign of protection, not a curse, placed on Cain by God to prevent anyone from killing him after he murdered his brother, Abel; its specific physical form is not described, leading to various interpretations, though it's confirmed to be a symbol of God's mercy ensuring sevenfold vengeance on anyone who harmed him, not a mark of shame like dark skin, which is a false, racist misinterpretation.
  17. Michelle and Karen, don't seem to have gone too far against the leadership, but could be wrong. Thanks for the input though!
  18. I wonder if this guy will be next on the chopping block.
  19. My son went to Oakland California, luckily not too much happened besides being hit by a car, chased by a pitbull, and even mistaken for drug dealers or ? by a swat team. And hit by a missionary companion with anger issues. The things missionaries go through are scary, but hopefully the good things over ride that.
  20. I hate AI! Dumbing down all of us, IMO. And deceptive, giving people a false sense of security when thinking AI isn't usually wrong, but it is. Watched something the other day where AI insisted there were three T's in committee. Years ago my husband and I went to Nauvoo and we got the in person King Follett Sermon in the exact spot it happened with a great actor portraying JS and saying the exact speech. Quite an experience. It was much better than this AI version, IMO.
  21. Hope this isn't too far off the subject. Yesterday and last Sunday my husband and I were on a drive. We turned on the radio to local stations that play Sunday music. Or gospel music. In the past I would always play Sounds of Sunday, and it's base was LDS music. Well, in 2026, that station is playing more Jesus music, somewhat like the KLove station in Utah does, IMO. Funnily this is what I started listening to during my crisis of faith years ago and I was searching for other faiths. One day years ago I was cleaning our camper and listening to the KLove station, evangelical music I think. And my husband walks in, a fully believing staunch LDS and was upset that I was listening to it. But now it seems to be on LDS owned stations, 100.3 on FM, or the style is similar. Do any of you think it's more like Evangelical style music vs. before? Or is it all in my head? I'd love to know how long this has been happening, because in the last 5 years or so I've not been playing it on Sundays. But yesterday on the drive, I really enjoyed it. There was a talk given years ago by Bruce R. McConkie that explains my post a little better about not having a special relationship particularly with Jesus. Here's a blogspot below about it and here's the discussion about it on MDDB. Has the LDS changed a lot from when this talk was given? It seems there is much more Jesus talk than before. Therefore are we going more Evangelical or non LDS Christian than before? https://latterdayspence.blogspot.com/2009/04/bruce-r-mcconkie-and-our-relationship.html
