bluebell Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I'm wondering how Pres. Uchtdorf qualifies as 'infamous'?
Freedom Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 I was about to post a reply but I see two people have already said as much as I could say. These basement journalists are a dime a dozen. They write one or two articles a month but never amount to much because they lack the training and skill to be a real journalist.
Nevo Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I'm glad to see Jodi Arias is finding solace in the words of the prophets. Does this mean she's finally taking some responsibility for her crime? Maybe there's hope for her yet. Anyway, President Uchtdorf was right: God loves even the wicked. Hopefully, Arias will also consider Elder Nelson's thoughts on divine love, particularly this:"The resplendent bouquet of God’s love—including eternal life—includes blessings for which we must qualify, not entitlements to be expected unworthily. Sinners cannot bend His will to theirs and require Him to bless them in sin. If they desire to enjoy every bloom in His beautiful bouquet, they must repent."
Damien the Leper Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I'm wondering how Pres. Uchtdorf qualifies as 'infamous'?I was wondering the same thing. I was acquainted with Travis prior to his death. He seemed like a great guy. I only ever saw her once. We didn't interact.President Uchtdorf is amazing. I wish I knew him personally.
thesometimesaint Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I'm wondering how Pres. Uchtdorf qualifies as 'infamous'?Maybe to some, but he hardly fits the general definition of infamous.

Garden Girl Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I'm glad to see Jodi Arias is finding solace in the words of the prophets. The other evening I caught just the end of a news report that was saying something about her and the "Mormon faith." I didn't hear what they were saying but when I looked at the TV they were showing a picture of the booklet "True to the Faith" as they talked. Couldn't help it... I cringed...GG
Tacenda Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 In a primary sharing time recently, the counselor alluded to Pres. Uchtdorf not being the only one we like. But not in those words of course ( I wish so much I had a good memory). However she said it, it caught me by surprise!
