MorningStar Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 The 32nd of March, huh? It must be April Fool's where you are .....
Stargazer Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Yes, the day when you dare not take anything at all you read in the papers and online at face value.
Sevenbak Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 Yes, the day when you dare not take anything at all you read in the papers and online at face value.Yes, the dreaded March 32nd.
kolipoki09 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Backlash has already begun however. Mike Huckabee, who is considered by some to be largely responsible for the 2008 nomination going to McCain rather than Romney, responded to the rumor by saying
BCSpace Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 IIRC, he's a pretty devout Catholic. However, once shown the implicit LDS doctrine that the LoC and even the Gospel itself exist only under conditions of economic and spiritual free-market capitalism, he might be convinced.
why me Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Glad that I didn't get a virus by clicking on the link. But it was a pretty good april fools joke.
urroner Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Yes, the day when you dare not take anything at all you read in the papers and online at face value. If that is so, then, when it comes to me reading certain people's posts about Mormons having problems of taking scriptures out of context, then every day is April 1st.
Messenger Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Too funny. I thought this was a nice touch ...Mike Huckabee, who is considered by some to be largely responsible for the 2008 nomination going to McCain rather than Romney, responded to the rumor by saying
LDS Guy 1986 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I got about halfway through when I realized what today's date was and drew the conclusion that I had become a victim of a April Fool's prank! ROFL

bluebell Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Bravo Mikey!Only confirms more of your anti-Mormon sentiments like when you snidely stated "Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers?". While also claiming to "not know much about Mormons" yet was the keynote speaker for the June 1998, Southern Baptist Convention in Salt Lake City. You do realize that Huckabee didn't say that, right? The whole thing is an April Fools Day joke.
bookofmormontruth Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 You do realize that Huckabee didn't say that, right? The whole thing is an April Fools Day joke. lol oh great, it would help to read the last line of the joke.
bluebell Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 lol oh great, it would help to read the last line of the joke. You have to be wary of all articles written on March 32nd.
kev_stevens67 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 man - I was actually believing it or at least wanted it to be true. Totally missed the Mar 32nd - didn't even think about that one.
Sevenbak Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 Glad that I didn't get a virus by clicking on the link. But it was a pretty good april fools joke.I wish I could take credit for this one. It was done by an LDS guy over at Free Republic that goes by Grig. It's interesting to watch the Mormon haters over there pile on.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2697994/posts
semlogo Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Almost had me going there. If true it could have been the crisis that ushered in the second coming.
semlogo Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 IIRC, he's a pretty devout Catholic. However, once shown the implicit LDS doctrine that the LoC and even the Gospel itself exist only under conditions of economic and spiritual free-market capitalism, he might be convinced.Sure, as long as we throw out every passage in the scriptures that actually deals with issues related to economics, that makes sense.
Avatar4321 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Come on people. Am I the only one who knows what today is?:-p
urroner Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Come on people. Am I the only one who knows what today is?:-pWell, any fool would know what today is.
LeSellers Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 IIRC, he's a pretty devout Catholic. Sorry, I have listened to Limbaugh since his inaugural broadcast on KFBK radio in Sacramento nearly 30 years ago. (Somewhat less regularly of late than early on, but still frequently.) I have never heard him say anything about his religious faith, and any mention of religion is missing from his entry in Wikipedia (yes, I know, not only arguing from silence, but from Wikipedia?!?). His very good friend, Tom Sullivan, is a devout Catholic, and makes (or made, I haven't heard him since we moved from California) no bones about letting people know his affiliation.Lehi
