Sleeveless Garments

Yes, I am, assuming it’s for real.  I will believe it when I see it.

I have had to skip wearing them during much of the summer because of overheating.  I ended up having to lie down on the floor (one of those hard institutional linoleum ones, but I didn’t mind as it was cold and helped lower my temp quickly) to avoid passing out this July when I was taking my daughter to physical therapy.  Since I was the driver, I had to walk a slight distance after parking the car.  I even used a big shade umbrella but the heat rising up from the pavement was enough to knock me out.

This will help a great deal.

Also with the feeling of claustrophobia I get with them at times, but this has been much less with the more recent designs that are more form fitting, yet breathable.  It’s bulky fabric that makes me feel smothered, the laying directly on the skin, but with lots of bumps, etc so I can feel it more when I move.  I don’t do sleeveless (skin cancer is rampant in my family, but my skin is very healthy), so the fashion doesn’t matter to me.

I am very grateful they have listened to women’s input.  I am hoping they have been able to help with more air circulation in other places as well given women in humid, tropical climates have such issues with infections.

Aside from boomers, less than half of members are wearing them as instructed. This is a great improvement, but it is still way too much fabric to house a few symbols. If they can do something as radical as a"slip" to wear under dresses option, they can do more. They are testing this at the equator, but the washing required for all that fabric is an ecological disaster in less developed countries as well as unhealthy.

The new options are on the church's store site (https://store.churchofjesuschrist.org/top-cat/clothing/5637160336.c) with the statement that they'll be available 4th quarter 2025. What caught my attention the most wasn't the sleeveless option (for both men and women) but the slip option. I guess there's nothing that would prohibit a slip meeting the necessary components of a temple garment.

I agree.  Maybe have the wearing of the garment limited to church and the temple.

That will never happen imo.
They could find much thinner fabrics though.

Do they not sell the mesh ones anymore?

I wear the mesh.

Military members get the camouflage garments.
