And it was moved twice from the previous incarnations of this board from Fair to MAAD and even previous to that many of us were on ZLMB. Funny to think how many people have been talking to each other about these topics for a quarter of a century.

Over a third of my life I have been a message board denizen.  Considering how much time I have spent on the boards, I sure hope I die thinking it was useful, lol.

It doesn’t seem like technology has been different for that long.  Shows what a big contrast it was…at least for me, that being without cell phones and the internet feels like the vast majority of my life and being connected online is a recent innovation.

Email was sporadic when we were in Russia, iirc.  I think we could only connect online when we were at the Embassy and that was 95…but that was almost 30 years ago.  And we could have called, but too expensive to bother.  We downloaded stuff to read on the laptop before we left, so still felt like I was online, lol.
