Dario_M Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Would there be a church service the first day on the new year??? The first day happend to be on sunday. 😖 So i am confused. Does your church closses their doors this Sunday? I don't know about my church anyway. Shal i call my missionary and ask him?? God bless you guys. ✝️
Hamba Tuhan Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Yes, it will be a standard service, with Sunday school/primary in addition to sacrament meeting. If your ward/branch shares a building with another congregation, it is possible that your start time will change, however, so it can't hurt to ring the missionaries or your assigned ministering brothers and confirm. Also, it's possible that your stake may shift Fast Sunday to 8 January, so you can ask about that too. 1

If he answers hopefully (because he does not always answers my massages). 😖🤧 Edited December 28, 2022 by Dario_M
Amulek Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 We are having church as usual on Sunday - though at a new time due to our ward sharing the building with two other units. If more than one unit meets in your building, that may be something you want to check on as well. 1

I just have ask my missionaris. That is better don't you think?? I don't wanna have any surprises. I allready had enough of those with Christmas. 😖 Edited December 28, 2022 by Dario_M
Hamba Tuhan Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Yes, check with the missionaries. If for any reason, they don't respond straightaway, contact your ministering brothers or your elders quorum president. They'll all be happy to help you. 1

Otherwise i would allready have contact them all. I only have the number of this guy S(......) from Idaho. He is a missionaris in our church. And i allready have send him a text.... so i would be really happy if he react on it (probably super late like always but better late then never.😖) God bless you Hamba Tuhan. 🙏

You will have access to the ward directory. You can search by callings and see who your assigned ministers are, or get the number for the elders quorum president, or bishop. It is a helpful resource.

If he doesn’t already have that number on hand, he will likely have to contact the ward clerk to get it. And if he is able to do that, he might just as well ask the clerk his questions about meeting times. 2

The irony of the situation is that he would have easy access to his number — if only he had Member Tools. But he needs the number to get the Tools. The lesson I draw from this is that if in the future I’m ever involved with the baptism or confirmation of someone, I’m going to see to it that the person receives his or her MRM on the spot. We need it for so many things we do in the Church: access to FamilySearch FamilyTree, making online appointments and reservations for temple ordinances, making online tithing and other donations, getting personal ward annd stake information on the Church website, etc. Edited December 28, 2022 by Scott Lloyd 3

It’s called a temple recommend, and having that will solve your problem regarding the membership record number, as the number will be written or printed on the recommend.

And you need to be a member for at least a year before you can be considered for a temple recommend. Prior to that, you may be allowed a limited temporary recommend for the purpose of participating in baptisms only.
