Fuel and food are both in shortage, and 100s of thousands of protesters have invaded government buildings in the country's capital, forcing the prime minister to flee and the president to announce his resignation. Both the president's and prime minister's residence have been occupied by protesters, and the prime minister's has been burned down. I believe the PM has also announced that he will resign. One concern is that China may end up being the nation most able to help and that is not really a nation you want to be tied to. 1

Yep. their new green deal left them unable to care for themselves. If China is so bad why are we selling them oil out of our strategic reserves? So the Big Guy can get 10%?

When the administration decides to release crude oil from the reserve to try to lower prices it is basically an auction. A company in China won some of the oil. That this is a talking point months later is kind of pathetic. There are literally calls to remove people from office for literally following the law on how to release oil from the strategic reserve. And the purported kickbacks are a fever dream.
