You can look for yourself. Ensign peak report their share holdings to the SEC https://sec.report/Document/0001454984-21-000003/ 2

Elton John didn't go out and actively solicit funding from the Catholic Church, nor did the Catholic Church go out and specifically target this particular project. In my mind, neither of them are hypocrites - though, obviously, Sir Elton feels differently. Just not differently enough to give them their money back. The last Men in Black movie? Blech! Well, I guess I would probably be disappointed (but not terribly surprised) that they would pick such a stinker. Mormons aren't known for being great cinephiles. I'm just kidding. I know what you're saying. Honestly, I think the level of culpability ought to be tied to the level of involvement and/or oversight. If I had to guess, I suspect the Catholic Church takes a much more laissez-faire approach to managing their investments than we do. In fact, I would be surprised if Ensign Peak had any significant media holdings outside of those necessary for producing and distributing content for the Church. But if it came out that a Church funded investment corporation had purchased stock in Disney or Paramount I wouldn't be bothered by that in the least. I agree with a lot of what you say here although I think that investors like the catholic or LDS church would likely be more deliberate about where their investment dollars go. For example, if we found out that Ensign Peak invested in Universal Pictures and specifically that millions of investment dollars went towards producing 50 Shades of Grey, I think there would be a problem. This is an era where investments are scrutinized and I think large corporations recognize that and try to be careful.

The same studies have shown that religiosity amongst many of the rest is actually increasing. An interesting piece published recently in the Deseret News addresses the decline of religiosity in America more broadly but also touches on what I mentioned above: Quote It’s worth noting, however, that the highly religious in America haven’t gone away. A 2017 study from Indiana University’s Landon Schnabel and Harvard’s Sean Bock suggests “intense religion” has persisted even as more “moderate religion” has seen declines. Put another way, as secularism in the United States has increased, there’s been a deepening of religious intensity among those who still go to church. Surveys also show the highly religious have remained steady as a percentage of the population, which means that their overall numbers have grown with the population and their higher-than-average fertility patterns are one sign the trend probably won’t reverse. With these trends a full conquest of secularism in the United States is unlikely ... 2
