Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! This whole thing has been a roller coaster ride for sure. At first he told me about lung cancer. Then I didn't have it, which was a massive relief. Then he told me I might have crohn's disease so I need to have a colonoscopy and see a gastroenterologist, so I got signed up for that. Well, I got call earlier from the Gastro, cancelled the colonoscopy, don't have crohn's and now I have CDIFF? so I had to get new medication, which is funny because because what I am dealing with now is a side effect from this old medication and the side effect from this new stuff is what I have now and I don't want more of it so I hope it cancels each other out!!! 1

I bet it gets to the point where you don't trust meds or people anymore! I'm right with you. I have hypothyroidism and have issues so I went on bio hormone replacement therapy and have put on some weight. But really I can't complain. I had to look up CDIFF, it said you can get it from taking antibiotics. Oh dear, maybe going to just go with garlic or something. I hope whatever you do it will all turn out well. Best of luck Duncan!

Kenngo1969 Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 (edited) Glad you're OK, relatively speaking. One thing's for sure: Almost no exposure to medical science is pleasant ... birth might be an exception, but even that sure as heck ain't easy ... but I'll take the GI stuff over cancer, any day. Which reminds me: Not comparing notes, here, just speaking to what I know ... A hundred years ago, I had an upper and lower GI scope without the sedative I hear they give folks now ... Way fun! ... And the doctor who ordered it said I might have cancer. It turned out to be IBS ... much more manageable, anyway. Again, glad you're OK, relatively speaking. And Okrahomer, keep us posted, OK? Today I came upon something I thought you might be interested in. I'm going to try it for my sleep problems. And maybe hair and skin too. Since my hypothyroidism caused most my eyebrows to fall out, and now I'm having thinning hair. It's supposed to do wonders for that also. And for skin cancer, and stomach issues. And arthritis etc. I'm linking it in case it may help you or anyone else. The reviews are incredible. I've ordered it and I will get back with the results! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007CYVANI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

I just came in the door, on the phone with my Mom now but the Dr. said the blob is diminishing and so it isn't cancerous...................which is a trillion pound burden off of my shoulders..............oh my gosh............................what a relief!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do have to see a gastroenterologist due to some other issues but that is easier to deal with than a Cancer Specialist. I can breathe easier now!!!!!!! Same thing when I found out I did not have cancer. One of those days when you get to experience the "men are that they might have joy" kind of days. 1

Just a quick update: I had my 17th treatment today, so I just have 27 left. The people who run the proton therapy center have been extraordinarily nice to me. But I would have expected nothing less from a bunch of Okies! :-) 6
