I actually agree with most of what is written about this issue except post that expect the ROTC program to stay when an officer is unwilling to sign a religious pledge that he doesn't agree with. And I don't think BYU can require the military to send someone that agrees with their religious beliefs. It seems to me that the military has a choice to comply with BYU requirements or close down the ROTC program. And BYU has the choice to issue a waver if they wish to continue to host the ROTC. It is pretty much that simple.

Off base or off embassy meant they had to abide by the local culture. In particular, I remember the stories of a female friend of mine who lived in Saudi Arabia as an embassy employee for almost ten years. BYU is not a military base. Edited January 25, 2017 by Calm 1

As I understand it they are waiting for the "Official" release that will go to all interested parties. I do know that they have gotten calls from Fox13, KSL, Deseret News, and others. They have not denied that it is happening, just the opposite. That's why I said to watch the news in the next few days(ish).

Nothing wrong with it -- except that it lacks the credibility of information attributed to an identified source. Also, it is customary to give a reason for the anonymity -- which is why I asked.

He could be simply following your lead along with the others out there making the claims. It would not be the first time someone pulled such a prank. 2

I cannot force anyone to believe me. I have however seen the actual documentation from the Air Force stipulating the ROTC move to UVU. It's actually quite a big deal since they have been hosted at BYU since 1951. Thousands upon thousands of Air Force officers have commissioned there.

They're not hiding the facts I can promise you that much. If you call the Army side you will find they are still in denial about the whole thing.

Do you mean "thousands upon thousands" as in a couple thousand (still seems pretty high) or in the literal millions sense in which case methinks you might be presenting alternative facts.
